Re: ShadowClan Territory
Nightpaw padded around in what could be considered deformed circles. In her search for Frostpaw, to no surprise, she actually managed to loose the trail of his scent. Luckily she still remembered in about which area she last smelled him and soon enough managed to catch it again. Now, she still had to find him. That was a different story. Her muzzle lifted up slightly, the young apprentice followed the scent in every direction it seemed to be going but just like with her mentor- each seemed to have a dead end. Or wait. Her mentor! Nightpaw suddenly remembered a trick her mentor had taught her- also remembering how it had helped her in the game. She stopped in her tracks and, still with a slightly lifted muzzle, opened her maw, starting the breath in and out threw it.
It still felt weird how the scents rolled of her toungue, it would probably take a few times before getting used to it, but it did help. The white she-cat was now able to better tell where Frostpaw's scent seemed to get stronger, and around where it seemed to be the strongest. By now she shouldn't to be far away from his hiding spot, in distance, not height, and she couldn't help but look around before remembering that she was supposed to stay with the scents. Perhaps he hid in a..? Nightpaw lifted her gaze to look up a tree- probably not the tree he was hiding in- but still a tree. She hadn't climbed one before but maybe she could try? She was about to unshead her claws to try but ended up not doing so. It'd probably be better for someone to be there to keep an eye in case something were to go wrong.
After a little bit, she eventually raised her head to look up "a-are yo-ou in a-a tr-tree..?" the apprentice asked sheepishly. She didn't really expect him to answer- that wasn't excatly how the game was supposed to go buuutttt..

Creekwind nodded, happy that her crush was doing well. Turning to see the molly she noticed the expressions on her beautiful features. One seemed embarrassed and possibly the other is disappointment? The russet she-cat couldn't tell, she hasn't spent enough time with Russetpatch to read her. "Are you okay?" Creekwind wasn't sure what else to ask. Maybe Russetpatch would open up to her.

Re: ShadowClan Territory
After a few seconds of silence, Frostpaw's thoughts began to drift. He was in the company of nothing but leaves, trees, and branches, so he couldn't exactly be blamed for not keeping his mind blank. Well, he could always do that and meditate instead, but... that wasn't how the minds of most apprentices worked. The white tom found himself thinking of his old friends, which seemed to be a very popular thing for him to think about these days. Although they were usually nice memories tinted with some sort of sadness, they actually were rather irksome. How was he supposed to forget his past if those memories kept ambushing him? There was no point of forgetting, anyway. He promised that a certain cat would always have a place in his mind, and then the other one wasn't even dead. The white apprentice wondered what was going on in ThunderClan. Did his golden fool finally join? The next Gathering wouldn't be for awhile, so he would have to wait awhile to find out.
Frostpaw shifted a bit, disguising his movement as the leaves rustled in a soft breeze. How long had a been? This wasn't exactly the most ideal position to be in. He waited once more before a new scent wafted towards his nose. Oh, thank StarClan. Nightpaw was finally getting somewhere. It wasn't meant sarcastically; Frostpaw was just getting very tired of not moving for so long. He cracked an eye open, relieved at the sight of Nightpaw walking closer. She padded to the trunk of a tree - not the one he was hiding in, but the one a couple trees to the side of it - then... stopped. Stopped? Frostpaw looked on in confusion, then let out a mental groan as something blocked his sight. Well, so much for that.
Eventually, Nightpaw's voice filtered up to his ears and Frostpaw paused. Did the molly not know how to climb yet? Of course she didn't, she was still early on in her apprenticeship. The white tom wasn't sure how to respond to Nightpaw's question. Obviously, she knew he was close by, or at least, close enough for him to here. But wouldn't answering ruin the point of the game? After reviewing his choices, Frostpaw decided to stay silent. He hoped that Nightpaw hadn't been expecting an answer. If she ended up walking the wrong way, he might call out or move to give her a clue, although the need for that seemed very unlikely.

I'm..I'm sorry," he sniffed, picking up his fluffy paw to wipe away the tears. "This is embarrassing, hehe... U-Um.. I'm quite alright, dear. It's just..no, no nevermind," Sleepylion's small and gentle voice broken up between a few coughs. He cleared his throat, stepping slowly up to his clanmate-- tipping his head ever slightly with a small smile on his white lips. "How are you?" The big ginger stared up at the cloudy sky as it strolls away beyond the tall pine trees. "The nice thing about the rain that it always stops. Eventually."

Fallenheart watched carefully at the larger tom's reaction. He watched a droplet of water slide down his cheek. Had it not been for the quiet sobs are dark tear streaks, the black warrior could have mistaken the tear for rain, although the truth brought up some questions. Fallenheart was concerned for his clanmate, even for this large tom who he couldn't seem to put a name to. Why had the ginger cat been crying? Hopefully, nothing bad recently occurred. The way the tom brushed of his worry put Fallenheart a bit at ease, although he was still unsure as to why the warrior been crying in the rain. The black tabby didn't pry, though. It was likely to be none of his business. "I am well, thank you," Fallenheart kindly replied. "And whatever happens, the sun might be covered, but it will always rise and always shine," he quietly added to the larger warrior's saying.

"You're not doing anything wrong, no one has taught you correctly." He had to build this one's self-esteem too as well his physical state. "Actually I want to teach you how to climb trees but in order for us to do that you need to know how to use your claws. Do you know how?" Foxwhisperer wasn't sure how to advance Magpiepaw was or even if he was.
Okay, lets start. "First things first I want you to go up to a tree." Flickering his fluffy ginger tail for his apprentice to follow. "Unsheath your claws. Now rake them down. I know it feels wierd but I want you to continue to do this until I see marks on the bark." So what if the younger tom gets splinters, little pieces of wood won't kill him. The guy seriously needs to toughen up if he cries over that.

"I'm fine." Russetpatch meowed. Oh no, she realized something. She looked around for prey, happy when she saw brown fur underneath a bush. "Look, a mouse!" She whispered, quickly changing the subject. She crouched and sneaked at it slowly. The she got ready to pounce, but then a twig snapped under her paw and the prey ran.

Magpiepaw nodded, standing up. He didn't like the look in Foxwhisper's eye... Staring at him, calculating his every move. "I know how to use my claws. I guess not well enough.." He stood beneath the tree, staring up. Just the trunk went up farther than he could see. The tom took a tentative step onto the base of the trunk, flexing his claws into the bark.
It was gritty and tough, and sharp bits dug into his pads. No wonder his mentor had chosen this tree. With a grunt, Magpiepaw heaved himself up onto the lowest branch, skinny rump hanging off.
Well, at least he'd tried.

Blackpaw padded out of camp with Needlepaw. If I'm going to be up I might as well be productive. he thought grumpily as he went. "So let's hunt, and since we aren't on patrol, we can eat too. We should still bring stuff back though." he said.

Re: ShadowClan Territory
Right... well it wasn't like she was expecting an answer anyway, she wasn't even sure what she exactly expected. But oh well, looks like it's going back to searching again. Nightpaw lifted her muzzle to use the technique her mentor had taught her- the one where she opens her maw and breathes in and out- it helped her re-locate about where Frostpaw's scent lingered. Soon enough she made her way to the said spot, the scent clearly being stronger than before. He must be close.
Being quite confident he was, the molly stayed close to that area, sniffing around. She finally remembered to pay attention to the trees, where her mentor had hidden. So, she went along and made sure to check out some of the trees nearby, eventually finding one where the other apprentices' scent seemed to linger on. Of course he could've just brushed against it, but trees seemed like a good hiding spot and she was told that Thunderclan cats were usually quite skilled in the art of climbing them, so it was a good option.
The young apprentice stood by the tree for a short moment, contemplating what she should do exactly. Climbing the tree was still an option, but perhaps she should wait for her mentor to teach her that or anything to the liking. So instead Nightpaw lifted her gaze up, following the branches with her eyes as she padded below them, keeping track of where Frostpaw's scent seemed to get either weaker or stronger. Obviously she lost track a few times, and had to stop about every three steps, but it seemed to go alright for now. Eventually Nightpaw finally found a spot where she believed he might be. She couldn't see him, not that well atleast, nor was she trying to for once, but his scent did seem to be stronger on that part sooo "a-are yo-ou per-perhaps he-here? Ab-abo-ove me-e?" the she asked, it was the best way she could think of to find out without having to go up herself. If he wouldn't answer, then she would assume that it was the wrong place.

Re: ShadowClan Territory
By now, Frostpaw was hoping that the game was about to end. His legs might be going to sleep for not moving for so long. The white apprentice was sure that he'd memorized Nightpaw's scent, which was slowly wafting up from the cat on the forest floor. If he tried really, really hard, he could hear the quiet crunching of leaves and twigs as the molly moved about. She seemed to be walking, then pausing every few seconds. Then again, there could be something off with his hearing. Frostpaw wasn't sure which assumption was correct. He opened his eyes, hoping to gain some sort of insight as to where Nightpaw was, but he was too high up to see anything. If the white molly was anywhere close to directly under the tom, then Frostpaw - much to his exasperation - wouldn't be able to notice. Luckily, that positioning was also the most likely.
A few seconds later, Nightpaw's voice reached the other apprentice's ears. Seeing that Frostpaw had no idea as to where the white molly was, he couldn't exactly answer her question. "I'm not sure," he called down, voice a bit fainter than usual, both because of the distance in height between them and because he didn't want to attract any unnecessary attention. "I can't see you through the leaves, but I think you're close. Want me to calm down?" If Frostpaw had been a bird or some other tree-climbing prey-animal, not knowing where his "predator" was would've been a death wish. Luckily, Nightpaw wasn't trying climb yet, nor was she going to eat him.
