Sootflare was indeed correct. "Aawww, okay. Okay, is cutie alright then?" Silvershade asked, they did have nicknames for days. Maybe it was too feminine for the tom. "Well, well you see a new wonderful lady wants to join. Follow, folloowww!" They mewed, turning away to lead Sootflare to the Scarlet.

Silvershade emerged from the bushes with the great ol' deputy, "I'm back! Did ya miss me, Scarlet?" They hummed-- waving to the molly with their tail.

so that was the other smell, he made sure to commit that one to his memory- and the location. He didn't have much care for names and would probably have forgotten half of it by the next moon, but he did make sure to remember the borders and scents. He wasn't that interested but he figured it might be something he should remember, plus it was still better than running around like a little kit.
He inwardly sigh once as he got up- he noticed Deweyes rubbing against some things and figured she was marking those places. It was pretty obvious. He dragged himself forward to follow behind his mentor, glancing back one last time to the Thunderclan border "alright" he muttered unser his breath. He didn't like the amount of walking they were doing, but atleast he now knew the Thundeclan scent, which was something he deemed could be more or less useful to know.

The silver and white warrior thought for a few heartbeats. Berrypaw did look slightly tired and she didn't want to exhaust her apprentice and the territory was large. "We can go back to camp if you want. If not then the Windclan border then go home." She offered, allowing the younger molly to decide.

"Can we see the WindClan border, please?" Berrypaw was getting a tiny bit tired, but she didn't want to admit it. She knew she could make it for a while longer. She wanted to impress her mentor by showing she could keep up. Plus, there wasn't a whole lot to do in camp other than apprentice chores. Berrypaw didn't want to play nursery games because she didn't want to look like a baby. So staying in the territory as long as she could manage was the best option. The young apprentice stretched her legs and stood up tall to look as awake as she possibly could. "See? I'm not tired at all!"

Deweyes figures the young tom wouldn’t have too much need for an intimate knowledge of sea stones and did a bit of a drive by explanation. “This is Seastones- where the gatherings are held. Gatherings have a truce throughout the night- no clan may attack another. I’ll give you a more in depth tour of the meeting place during the next gathering.” With that, she continued onward at a brisk pace to Lionsbeach. She knew the beach was fairly close to Seastones, at least in her opinion, and they soon reached it. “This is Lionsbeach. There isn’t much opportunity to fish here, but we can find some crustaceans or fish-eaters to hunt most days. From here we go to the Windclan border. I would show you Lionstunnels, but it isn’t a place for young apprentices so you won’t need to know much about it. There is also more territory far over there that we hunt in. It used to belong to Skyclan and is now known as Lionsrange. You won’t need to go there for a while yet.” Swiftly, Deweyes continued the tour.

Poppytwist walked into the territory with her apprentice. They had separated from the patrol and went to go hunting. Then she stopped at a small tree. She turned to face her apprentice and started to explain. “So usually I would teach you how to fish first but since the river is still higher than normal it is not safe yet. So today we will do forest prey. This is a pretty good spot because of the berry bushes and mice and voles visit often. So I am going to demonstrate hunting here. First, open your jaws wide. Sleetpaw followed closely behind his mentor, icy eyes wide as saucers as they took in every leaf, dirt speck, and tiny insect in sight! The warm new-leaf breeze sending the trees creaking and leaves whistling. Why did he miss this so bad? A smile stretched across his maw as Poppytwist spoke, directing his gaze up to her,

"Ooh," he chirped, before doing as he was told. Opening his jaw, the young apprentice let the tastes and smells of the forest wash over him, "Uhmm..." The cogwheel's of his brain were obviously turning, his brows furrowing together,

"I think I smell a squirrel!" Was that was a squirrel smelled like? It kind of smelled like its dead prey counter-part! Sleetpaw looked up expectantly at Poppytwist, awaiting her confirmation... or denial...

Poppytwist smiled. "Yes! That is very good! And there is a faint smell of vole, but that is not going to be our focus right now. I am going to show you how to catch a squirrel. I want you to follow me and be very quiet. Make sure to watch your step, we don't want the prey spooked." She started to follow the scent trail. "Okay, so the prey is ahead. We are upwind of it right now so we need to go around from the other side." She started to circle around the area where the squirrel was. They were downwind now. "Watch how I will stalk and then pounce," she whispered. "Squirrels are fast so I will need to move quickly." She crept forward and with her tail, signaled Sleetpaw to stay and watch. Then, when the squirrel was fairly close, she leapt and caught the squirrel between her paws. With a ferocious bite to the neck, the squirrel was dead.

Gosepaw had managed to find the vole very quickly, the small brown rodent nestled amongst the tree roots. With a swift blow to its spine, it was dead, and Goosepaw made his way back to Cobaltshade and Fawnsqueak. Hopefully they had stopped fighting.
Or not. His jaw fell slack as he rounded the bush just in time to see Cobaltshade strike Fawnsqueak in the face and then storm off, the vole carcass falling to the ground with a thump. He hurried forward, eyes wide. "Oh my stars, Fawnsqueak, what did you say to her?"

"Oh," he mumbled, "yeah.. you weren't here, were you?" Goosepaw's reappearance was a reminder that he'd left them for a while. Fawnsqueak imagined that was an issue to be addressed later, it wasn't really his place to reprimand. "Uh.. I don't know. Not much, I guess. Just hit me after-- I said it was kind of rational to be checking in on her. I didn't... realize that she'd get violent over it, but.." He shrugged after trailing off, moving on from that since Cobaltshade had ditched them.

Fawnsqueak peered at his kill with a lopsided smile that fell after a moment. "Let's.. just go back, I probably couldn't concentrate on the hunt anymore. I'll go out later and make up for it, or something." There was too much on his mind.

Goosepaw sighed heavily through his nose. Suddenly, being a warrior didn't seem so appealing anymore. If these were the kinds of arguments he would be getting into... He picked the vole up off the ground. "Okay, whatever you want," he said. "Lead the way."
