She tried to keep her chuckle quiet as he spoke about his apprentice, feeling herself relax a little. Dustbreeze wished she didn't feel so on edge, she should feel more comfortable to just be herself. Not always feeling like she was walking on ice and one wrong move would have her shunned. Her eyes returned to the forest as she listened. A warm smile bloomed on her face as he asked about her apprentice her tail shivering a little with affection.

"She's wonderful, everything I could have asked for in an apprentice. I certainly hope she likes me and my guidance as much as I enjoy working with her." Dustbreeze looked over at Flintstat again, genuine happiness on her face. She hadn't felt so happy and successful than when she was working with the young cat. She took her eyes back to the forest but not before the bittersweet feeling that gnawed at her down turned the edges of her smile. "Leopardpaw is going to make an excellent warrior some day... I'm happy to hear that your apprentice is doing well, despite his attitude sometimes."

"now from what you've eaten in the kill pile, what did you notice about mice? " he asked as he took a seat and form him to tower over the tom. Looking like the lion he was named after. Only for his eyes to have a friendly and gentle gaze .

" they are small and have long tails, they are usually grey, white or brown" he said

He nodded slowly . "and what else? What about their smell?? Their taste?" for an an apprentice dustpaw wasn't half bad. But he would have to give better responses to some questions ..

"They have an earthy smell mixed with seeds, makes sense because there diet, they taste about the same but there meat isn't course but easy to rip through" he said feeling like he was wrong

good enough "they also tend to have a musky smell because they live in the ground. And are somewhat fast because of their size." he said in a pleased sounding tone. " now I'll show you how to actually hunt those ground rats" he meowed with some spite when he said ground rats. He got into a hunters crouch and tried to put no weight on his paws " get into a position like this, either try putting no weight on your paws or balance it. " he instructed .

Dustpaw did what he said as he crouched trying to hold his ballance on all 4 paws
