mmediately bolting after Skykit, Echopaw's silvery fur turned into a gray blur as she dashed after the little kit. Easily spotting her white fur, Echopaw pelted behind her, easily catching up. Stopping in horror, the she watched as Skykit picked up a stick and began going towards.. a trap! What did Beastspark call them? Jaws.

Dashing forward, she reached down to pick up the kit. Hopefully before she got killed.

Skykit yelped loudly as she was picked up "hey whats the idea here!?"

Mouseleap met back with her group and smiled in satisfaction that the group had a pretty good haul to feed at least most of the cats. She had kept in her mind that the other hunting patrols might and should have also brought back prey so it was good to not take the whole forest back.

Mouseleap turned to her apprentice and purred as she saw that he had successfully caught a piece of prey. She looked closely and found the eye of the lizard stare back at her. “Oh my, a lizard! Great job Ribbitpaw, you did quite well.”she purred. She looked at the others and the sky to meow, “We should head back before Icestar decides that we should take a
punishment.”

Swinging away from the trap's jaws, Echopaw let out a sigh. And mumbled through the kit's fur. "Can I trust you not to go near it if I let you down?" This was a serious question, and if Skykit lied, she could lose a limp, or even die. Echopaw didn't want her blood on her paws, she had never felt that pain before, and wouldn't for a while to come.

BlackSwift sank his teeth into the bird's chest as hard as he could. He also sank his claws into the bird's body, finally killing it. He looked up, watching MouseLeap and Ribbitpaw walk away with the prey, "Wait!" BlackSwift yowled. dragging the bird by the neck, "Look what we killed!" he mewed, "It did attack us, but look at the size of this!" he yowled, completely forgetting about the vole he caught. @Elementals @Puddle~ @Greenleap

Setting down the kit near a bramble bush, Echopaw looked at her with challenging eyes. Which easily spoke: Run away and you don't wanna know what will happen.

Turning away from the kit, she picked up the stick Skykit was going to use. Carefully, as Beastspark said, she took the long twig and stuck it into the trap, leaping back as it snapped onto the stick. Breaking it in half as it jumped up ward a little. Not looking back to check on Skykit, Echopaw padded closer, being extremely careful of the trap. And giving a curt nod to herself, she began to turn around. Hopefully to find the white puff ball still there.

Skykit had gotten distracted with a leaf pouncing on it and wiggling her little tail until she spotted something else that peaked her interest she started to wander deeper into the forest

Honeysnake frowned down at the dying dog. It wouldn’t last long. He turned to the tom beside him with a furrowed brow to echo the other’s expression. At Falcondive’s question, Honeysnake sighed and replied,

“Yes. He won’t be getting far now.”

Even a dog deserved an honorable death he supposed. Stepping forward without even a shiver to signify distaste with taking a life, Honeysnake closed his jaws around the pitifully growling creature. He didn’t care about killing a cat let alone a dog but he wasn’t a sadist. He didn’t want the thing to suffer too long. Without blinking an eye, Honeysnake closed his jaws hard and the dog let out a last whine before the life seeped out like his blood into the dust.

Ribbitpaw came rushing back over to join back up with the rest of the patrol, still proud that he had caught the lizard, even more so when Mouseleap praised him for it.

And when Blackswift called out to wait, the apprentice turned around, only to be met with the warrior dragging a very very very large bird across the grassy slope. "Wow..." he said, his jaw dropping a little. That was gigantic, probably enough to feed at least a pawful of cats.
