The apprentice looked up as Frostpaw padded up to her. she tried her beat to hide how depressed she was. It was supposed to be a great day with the new piece of territory. She shouldn't allow it to stop her from having a good time. She just couldn't imagine a life without her father it was awful. "Its nothing. I'm fine.", she meowed with a fake smile.

Petuniapaw felt another set of pawsteps come towards her and she looked over at Blizzardwind. Hey he was alright! The apprentice gave the tom a smile. Not a fake one a real one. Boy had she missed him a bunch. "Hey its great to see you it really is. Got lost or something?", she chuckled. Glancing up she saw Kestrelstar looking at them. She always often wandered what he was thinking. "Hey Kestrelstar!", she meowed in excitement. She was trying to hide her pain. At least she had cats who cared about her.

Relaxing in the warm pool felt great, she might've just slept there unless another apprentice bumped into her. She looked to the other cat, ears perked. "Oh, I'm Maplepaw! I've been in Riverclan for only a bit, but, you are?" She quirked her brow curiously, she hadn't seemed to meet this other apprentice before, but that wasn't much of a suprise. She hadn't completely dedicated herself to learning about the other apprentices.

Sunsetbloom had decided that Junipersong defiantly had the right idea. The maine coon molly was going to create the biggest splash possible into this warm oasis because there was only one thing to do in the water on a day like this.... Start a splash fight! So after galloping forward and flinging herself into the air Sunsetbloom landed with a large splash creating a wave of water headed right to her fellow giant cat. She quickly resurfaced with a rancorous laughter joy ringing out over the springs for all to hear before calling out. "Beloved! Come join me this is fabulous! I still havent re-payed you for beating me in that splash fight during our first meeting~ I am declaring a watery fight the likes of which the world has never seen! I am the queen of the spring and all those that wish to challenge me will fall to my mighty splashes!" Perhaps it was a bit silly for a full grown warrior to start a splash fight but the brown and white molly was know for being a tad silly. What did it matter though, this was a time for fun and joy Kestrelstar said it himself so a splash fight in such wonderful warm water was totally fitting. Waiting for her darling Palehound to respond Sunsetbloom didnt waste any time grinning wide at Junipersong and sticking her tongue out at her hoping to bait the molly into a water fight.

Just as she was starting to feel around with her paws trying to find a comfortable spot to sit down in the hot springs, she heard a loud splash and looked up to be face to face with a giant wave of water coming right for her! There was no time to react as it hit her and nearly swept her off her paws! Oh so a splash fight, was it? That stuck-out tongue was a declaration of WAR! But Junipersong was smarter than her cheerful, naive outer shell suggested. "Hmmm, not really sure if thats something I would want right now. Im currently trying to find the most comfortable spot in the springs." She said, starting to turn away. It seemed very out of character for her. But as soon as Sunsetbloom got distracted, she dove underneath the water, popping up right next to the fellow warrior and using her paws to bat as much water as she could. "But I can make an exception this time!" She shouted cheerfully above the sound of all the water splashing.

Frostpaw offered a sideways smile and dipped her head to Blizzardwind and Kestrelstar. She looked back at Petuniapaw. “Ok, if you say so.” She shifted on her paws, then added somewhat hesitantly, “Want to play something?” Might as well do something while she was here.

Shimmerpaw nervously dipped her paw into the hot spring, jerking it back in surprise at the warmth before slowly putting it back in. It actually wasn't that bad, maybe she should get in? Yes, she definitely should. With that the decided, the apprentice slowly slid into the warm water, letting out a soft purr at the relaxing feel of it. She took a moment to just relax, enjoying the feeling of the warm water on her pelt in contrast to the chilly weather of leaf-all which was nearing leaf-bare.

A couple of apprentices were nearby gingerly testing out the water. He was sure it was all new to them - Kestrelstar recalled how surprised he had been to come across it. Ears alerted to Codpaw's question, the leader shook his head. "I scouted the area before bringing any of you here. The scent of twolegs is barely noticeable - I don't believe they've been here for quite some time," he reassured the young tom. Ivypaw, Hazelpaw, and Whitepaw seemed more willing to test the waters out, as did young Hawkpaw - but Kestrelstar let out a 'mrrow' of amusement as they quickly jumped right back out. It would definitely take some time getting used to.

Out of all the cats that had joined, Kestrelstar was relieved to see that Tumblepaw had joined him. Walking over to his apprentice, he gave a small smile. "This will be a great place to come relax after our days of training, don't you think?" There was a warmth to his tone, another jolt of realization that Tumblepaw had come back, had decided to give him another chance (unlike a few cats he could name). It warmed his heart, and the leader smiled at his apprentice with appreciation. Twisting his head, he nodded again to Codpaw as he came to join Tumblepaw.

Codpaw jumped as Kestrelstar's voice intoned behind him. He turned and saw the grey leader answering his question! He hadn't intended to get a real answer. He felt silly. He'd also noticed the faint, old scent of the twolegs. Of course their leader wouldn't bring them somewhere that the twolegs would return to. Though it was neat that Kestrelstar seemed to do exactly what Codpaw enjoyed most, he found the place by simply exploring.

As Kestrelstar moved away from him and Tumblepaw, Codpaw's green eyes caught Shimmerpaw slipping into the water. With a last glance towards Tumblepaw, he swam over to the long-haired grey she-cat. "This is neat, right?! This'll be amazing when it gets really cold."

A three pronged attack! How was the evil water queen ever supposed to withstand this!?



With a happy cackle Sunsetbloom went down as Splashleaps splash blinded her creating the perfect opportunity for Ryebelly and Junipersong to launch their own attacks. The twin attacks from both warriors was enough to knock her over and the warrior happily flailed for a second trying to right herself before she, blinking water out of her eyes, managed to find the ground once again.


"Bah! Your attacks may be strong but it wont keep me down for long! My evil powers are only made stronger by your resistance! Cower before my might!"
The evil monologue was kinda ruined by the giggles wasnt it? Ah well what did it matter they were having fun!



Rearing back Sunsetbloom charged forward creating huge splashes going everywhere as she ran, headed straight for Splashleap and Ryebelly in an attempt to bowl them over into the water. Succeed or not it didnt matter as she ended her charge in front of Junipersong, stopping hard and letting the ensuring wave wash straight at the other molly.

Shimmerpaw let out a surpirsed squeak when Codpaw spoke to her, not having noticied his approach. "O-oh! Yes, i-it will be." the apprentice said nervously, her ears twitching as she glanced at her fellow apprentice. She recognized him as the one who had barely beaten her in the hunting contest that Sunsetbloom had lead. Hopefully he wouldn't be cocky and think he was better than her for winning? What if he was even mean about it? What if he hated her for no reason at all??? Oh no no no, this was not good!

Codpaw smiled at the she-cat's blundering response. He hadn't tried to startle her but it was entertaining just the same; he figured he was just that good. He cocked his head. "Hey, you played Sunsetbloom's game too, right? You did super good." He laughed easily, "Us apprentices really showed up all those warriors, didn't we? I guess it helps that we're young, they're too set in their conventional hunting ways and less adaptable to the new baiting technique Sunsetbloom came up with. What bait did you try?"

Shimmerpaw gave an owlish blink before slowly relaxing when she realized he wasn't making fun of her. Actually, he was complimenting her! She had never been complimented by another cat except for her mentor, and it honestly felt pretty good. "T-thanks. You did well too! And yeah, w-we really did kick t-their tails, huh?" the molly replied shyly, shooting Codpaw a quick smile. "I tried m-mulberries first, but I noticed cherries were working a lot b-better for everyone else so I used them for the rest of the time."
