Whiteflame was up. Oh. This would be fun. He gathered up his spider and shot a smile towards Cardinalkit. "Spooder looks like she might win." He chuckled. He'd feel extremely bad if he won, because this is the kit that really wanted to win. But if he won the whole thing, he'd definitely give her the prize.

He looked at his spider. How could he agitate it? Or he doesn't need to. He can just put it in. And then if Spooder attacked it would get agitated.

Bunbun, bounces over, eyes shining with excitement. Sure, she technically heard Crowtooth say no babies, but like, it didn't really register in her mind that she would be considered a baby. Because she's gigantic. And almost an apprentice, so does she really count? The big ball of fluff makes it's way to the tunnels quickly, a black blur to anyone who happened to look her way. Her round hues scan the area for a cool bug, squinting as they adjust to the darkness of the tunnel. That is, before she feels something drop onto her back, leading her to whirl around in surprise. Not fear. She's never been scared of a bug, that's just silly. It's a big beetle with little horns, a stag beetle. It crawls lazily up her back and settles on top of her head, making her giggle with delight. In fact, it's so cute she doesn't even want to enter it. She'll find a less cuddly bug to enter in the event, forever now her lil' buddy can just sit there on her head and enjoy the wonderful company she provides.

"Hey buddy, imma call you... uhm... uh..." Gahhh, what's a good name?

She thinks for a few more moments as she heads a bit farther into the tunnel, scanning the area for a different bug, before she exclaims in a loud voice.

"Oh! I'll name you Birt!" The bug stares at her incredulously, "Like dirt, but the 'd' is replaced with 'b', get it? Of course you do! You're a smart bug."

She nods, the newly-named Birt adjusting its position slightly as she does so, it's thin legs gripping her fur and keeping it firmly in place while she bounces around. Bunny hums cheerfully, her fluffy stump of a tail wagging behind her enthusiastically.

"Maybe if the other bug we find wins, you can be friends Birt! Then I'll have two bug pals! We could be SUCH good friends!" She exclaims, stomping her feet in excitement, "Do ya think it'll be pretty? Well, of course it could never be as cool-looking as you Birt-"

Her chatter is interrupted by a scuttling sound near the right side of the tunnel, a squeak escaping her. Again, not scared, just surprised. The older kitten crouches down to study it, Birt contentedly watching the unfolding events from his high perch. It's another beetle, this one has little antennae. A june bug. She scoops it up with a paw and allows it to scurry up to her shoulder. This is very good, she doesn't want it in her mouth. That might be gross. So with that, she swiftly exists the tunnel, a broad grin appearing against black fur.

"I'm totally gonna win!" She declares, half to the crowd gathered, half to Birt and her unnamed new friend.

If it survives then she'll name it, but for now it can go unnamed.

Cottonmaw was a bit surprised. Oh well. He took his mantis and went to bury it in the woods.

Oh, it was her turn already? Looking at the green dragonfly, Branchfur decided to feed it a herb she had found near the flying insect, and maybe if she clears the arena a bit the dragonfly could find the stink bug easier... Moving aside some branches and rocks Branchfur was content with her work. Though maybe if she just carefully swatted in the direction of the dragonfly with a small pebble it would agitate it, she'd hope that it would make the dragonfly think that the sting bug attacked it, though she doubted it.

Squirrelpaw grinned as she heard her name, and she nudged Dreamheart. It's my turn! My turn! She exclaimed, spinning around. Can you put Mr. Bug in the circle for me? Please? She murmured, nodding to where Branchfur was sitting. When her mentor set it down, the apprentice took a deep breath before blowing some air onto her bug. She tugged a fallen leaf on the ground into her jaws, and put it in front of the stink bug.

Dreamheart heard Squirrelpaw's name being called, and, at her request, put the Stink Bug in the arena in front of her apprentice. "There you go! Now be careful with.. Mr Bug." She purred and flicked her tail, sitting back to watch carefully.
