Re: ThunderClan Territory
Scarface pounced on the fox and clawed it's neck killing it. The tabby tom ran towards Honeypaw and picked her carefully and put her on his back as he ran back to camp. Scarface saw Owlwatcher and Violetleap " Help! there was a fox attack and I think she's dead! " he mewed as he panicked. @ Shimm @ sugarcubes

The molly narrowed her eyes at the spot where the smell was coming from, then saw the leaves rustle slightly. Her eyes widened and she pointed with a paw.
"There." Violetleap whispered as quietly as possible. She stepped back, letting Owlwatcher catch it.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Quietly thanking the molly he crept along the underbrush. His marigold eyes searching for any extra movement, ears honed in on the mouse. Silent paw-steps, a few more....Then the brown-hued tom pounced on his prey. Bringing his paw down hard on the mouse's tail and then swiftly nipping its neck.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
@ Starfall
Sunsnow glided ahead of Mosspaw into a nearby copse of trees, his pelt glimmering a golden-yellow in the sunlight. All at once, though, it lost it's shine as the tom was suddenly dappled with shadows, the leaves cooling him off. He shook out his pelt and frowned thoughtfully.
Mosspaw seems a bit skittish, perhaps. Let's see if I can help that by making him more prepared.
"Alright. Today, we are going to play a sort of... game." He grinned. This was, in fact, a game he could remember playing as a kit.
"You will be walking through the forest, an unsuspecting Thunderclan cat. I will be stalking you, playing the part of an enemy. I will do my best to jump out and startle you before attacking, thus gaining the upper hand. your job is to keep me from getting that. Be prepared. Listen carefully. Maybe you could even find me before I get you."
With that, he dipped his head and walked backwards, allowing the shadows to consume him.
"Let's begin."

Re: ThunderClan Territory
"Another great kill! Good job!" Violetleap brushed her tail along his back, smiling. "We should get back to camp soon though. We've been out for a while and it's getting cold." The warrior fluffed out her coat for emphasis.

"But I think it's cute that you specifically wanted to take me down. That's commitment, and I like commitment." The leader joked, a rumbling laugh bursting out of him after he had finished his sentence. He then turned to face Mintfrost better, his tail flicking in the dirt on the ground beside him. "Awh come on, at least give yourself attractive to add onto that description." Flintstar criticized, though his smile was anything but criticizing. It was more of a cheeky grin that spread across his maw.
Though, at Mintfrost's deduction of his.... personality, Flintstar's grin fell into a pout. "You just took away all the key concepts of my character!" He accused, standing up and glaring mockingly at Mintfrost, tail swishing in the air behind him. "You know what, only one word can describe me. Flintstar. I am Flintstar, and that's all anyone needs to know." He turned to cast the same cheeky grin over his shoulder at the warrior, flicking his tail in amusement.

The suspicious look was met with one of his own, and then a flinch backward when he was winked at, huffing. "As long as you're committing yourself to the right things," was his reply, idle. In the sound of Flintstar's laughter, he continued, "And of course it'd be you. Easy targets and all that." Mintfrost surveyed him in silent question, what have you spent your life doing? And it was strange that their replies would be the same to his knowledge, that they'd tried to do their best for Thunderclan in starkly different manners.
Mintfrost's face scrunched up in a feigned display, the fur on his shoulder blades prickling up with warmth. After a sputter or two, Mintfrost could only respond, "I thought that went without saying." Good thing he'd brought Flintstar here to wipe that cheeky grin off his face, it was too distracting as it was. Mintfrost swallowed most of the chuckle that rose in him after seeing Flintstar's reaction.
"I'm sure you have something else." Mintfrost examined him again, debating until he could settle on the right word. "Single-minded? Or in your words, committed." That was with a small nudge in callback to their previous discussion topic, but he dismissed it as Flintstar determined he could solely be described as... Flintstar. "How very Flintstar of you, that Flintspirit guy was a real project." Catching up in a couple bounds, Mintfrost shifted his weight to his back paws to rear up a little and pounce.
"Care to settle a rivalry?" Or more realistically, exhaust Flintstar so this wouldn't be another night spent restless and awake.

"You're not even going to tell me one-" She began to protest, but stopped herself. Pinepaw knew she would just be making a fool of herself protesting her mentor's wished and sighed. Her legs still burned from pushing them to run so fast. She took a calming breath to soothe her sizzling attitude and opened her eyes to the forest. The large golden disks took in the tones, her favorite colour stared back at her everywhere carrying the sharp citrus scent of pine. She couldn't stay frustrated out here.
Without looking back, she took off at a low hunter's slope. She tasted the air carefully and headed off into the light breeze of the day. Pine already knew the air had many secrets and hints to give her, especially if it blew prey towards her. So she tasted the air, her large ears swiveling, their size a great genetic advantage for the small cat. Pinepaw had to resist mouth watering squirrels that nested in the trees as she searched for a bird.
She heard wings before she smelled them, it was harder to smell birds. They were always moving. The silver tabby crouched and held still, eyes searching. A flash of blue, the jay she spotted didn't have the excellent advantage of camouflage that she did. She crept forward, paws quiet in the snow as the jay flew down to feast of some berries frozen in a bush. Her breath stilled as she drew near, eyes guaging distances with every step. Until she finally thought that she was close enough, she jumped, paws stretching but only found the bird moving away to quickly. She tumbled empty pawed into the berry bush, branches snapping against her pelt and making her release a yowl of unsatisfied surprise. She hit the snow and shook out her pelt, stalking off the the side and licking a few stings.

The leader watched his apprentice closely from the sidelines, creeping cautiously along as he followed her from the shadows, where his dark pelt was hidden easier in the snowy landscape. He studied her movements, making notes to himself about what he would have to instruct her on.
After she tracked the bird, quite well he admitted, yet missed catching it, Flintstar emerged from the shadows. "That was some great tracking Pinepaw, you've been doing really well with that. But I believe you need more work on actually catching the prey." The tomcat padded closer to the young feline, pushing her hindpaws closer together with a forepaw. "When catching birds, you're going to have to leap from a far distance, so you need to be able to leap the entire distance. Having your haunches bunched and closer together will help you gain a more powerful leap." The leader then walked around Pinepaw to face her, tail flicking back and forth behind him. "Stronger leaps will also be helpful for battling cats larger than you." The leader then sat down, nodding his head towards the squirrel scent they had passed on their way to the bird. "I want you to try for a squirrel this time, and after this, we'll go do some battle training." Flintstar curled his tail around his paws, green eyes expectant as he awaited for Pinepaw to follow out his order.

Re: ThunderClan Training Cave
The young she-cat preened under her mentor's praise, tail flicking happily. She could just feel herself gradually growing closer to becoming a warrior, she knew she was getting a lot better at everything it took to be a successful warrior. And it seemed like Songthorn agreed. With high spirits, the small calico followed her mentor into the territory, ready for any training session he might throw at her next.

Her silver striped pelt burned from embarrassement as he teased her about the miss. Though she didn't let it show, she kept her expression cool. She just always wanted to impress, it was hard to learn when you wanted to be perfect always. Though as he adjusted her position, she understood where she had gone wrong. Pinepaw would be sure to practice pouncing later, pushing her legs and that new position. She had already built up fine muscle as she'd grown throughout the leaf bare and had been practicing with her mentor.
Her eyes flashed with a bit of annoyance as he explained why it would be good for her to learn how to pounce properly. She wanted to protest and snap about how she already knew why, but she clenched her jaw instead and simply nodded her head. Once again the protests bubbled up in her throat as he instructed her to go after a squirrel. But we were hunting birds! I know I can do it! Her thoughts had turned her golden eyes into a hard glare. When she caught herself in the glare she shook out her pelt, turning her face away with a brush of embarrassement. She really didn't want to come across as disrespectful. Flintstar had offered her everything here and her ego wasn't about to make him think she was a little brat about it.
The mention of some battle training after the squirrel was an enticing reward though. So she opened her maw and drank in the scents the forest offered. It helped to wash away some of her bubbling anger deep down. Her golden eyes watched carefully, wide and observant for movement as she started off at a slow pace. Pinepaw had picked up the scent of the squirrel and set off. It should be an easy enough catch, they just took patience. She circled downwind, as always, and finally as the scent grew strong she spotted the red furred creature. It was rather small than some of the red squirels of these woods, but prey none the less. She watched it carefully, crouching low beside the base of a tree. Her white and silver fur helped blend her into the snow, she was going to have trouble when she lost that advantage. The squirrel hopped along, skidding through the branches. By her side, Pinepaw spotted a hole in the ground, which was a welcome sight. It was likely a store for the prey. Sure enough, the unaware squirrel skittered down the tree dashing for the hole. With good timing the apprentice leapt forward, hooking into the squirrel and swiftly pulling it in for the kill. She dropped it and scraped a hole for it in the snow, then stood and turned expectantly. She had completed the task and her fur already twitched with the excitement of battle training.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Owlwatcher purred his marigold eyes shining. "Thanks!" Giving a quick bow of his head and gave his respects to the mouse and Starclan the large Maine coon picked up his prey and nodded with agreement towards Violetleaps way. As they walked the brown tom walked he fluffed his pelt and walked respectively close to help warm the molly.
