Foxblaze heard the panic and turned to see her son trying to unclog the kitten's throat. She stood to her paws and moved to them, leaning down. "He needs to take in a breath." her frantic voice and cool exterior contrasted. A severe set of calm had settled in her belly, making her frazzled state fizzle out and she leaned down to breath some ait into the kit's mouth. Hopefully, his lungs would get the memo to FRIGGIN WORK!!! Placing her tail on Snakeheart's shoulder and leaning back, she waited.

Kestrelsplash purred, putting the fish down in front of her. "It's nice to see you, too. How're the kits? Still okay?" He subconsciously wondered why he was asking how unborn kits were doing. Even she probably didn't know; they weren't born yet! He felt silly. "Well, maybe you can't figure out how the kits are since they aren't here yet, but I'd like to know how you're feeling with them. Like, you know, how the kits are doing with you, because they aren't born yet, but I bet they kick and stuff. I wouldn't know, actually, I can't bear kits, but... you get it, right? How you're doing with the kits." He decided to stop talking.

As the previously soothing atmosphere turned franic, the small golden kit let out a small terrified squeak, reaching blindly out in the air as the soft thing was torn out of his grasp. Wait! He opened his mouth and tried to call out to snakeheart, to foxblaze, to anyone, but all that came out was a pitiful mewl. The sounds of small gasps and gurgling went unnoticed by his sealed ears, fully oblivious to what was going on around him. The tom-kit slowly squirmed over to where the heat was most concentrated, and when he eventually reached the source of it, he flung the front half of his body over the still damp and noticeably smaller form of the unnamed kit. Paws were moving all around him, a flurry of weird smells surrounding the kit. After a moment, Honeykit squirmed back to the now still, yet familiar, scent of his oldest brother and curled back up on one of the larger toms paws.

Huntkit followed, a bit more timid, which was unlike him. The small black tom followed the other kit out of camp for the first time. (Want to make this a private thread? Maybe called Pebble & Hunts adventure?)
