Exhaustion was a terrible thing. It wore at her bones, dragged her in her wake, made her eyes peickle until the closed, ans when they closed, she threatened to fall asleep. And to fall asleep now, was to leave the camp one cat more vulnerable. To leave the ones she loved vulnerable, once more.

Walking around. Tending to cries, trying to keep Cormorantpaw from freezing. Briarpaw, despite the older molly's displeasure had gone on a patrol. There was no stopping her, and nor did the queen want to restrict the younger molly, but nerves and tension gripped her heart.

"Briarpaw? Briarpaw!" The queen yelled in shock at the blood and the terror in her eyes. The queen ran forward, and grappled the molly into a hug, pressing the young molly's head into her neck. She drew back suddenly, fear running in her veins. She couldn't hurt Briarpaw. "Briar, Briar..." she whispered. "Oh.. oh. My girl. What- they did this to you? Thunderclan? Bumblestar?"

Lionpaw - The Perfect One

Lionpaw forced a blue eye open, looking up at the voice that rudely ripped him away from his dreams. Dreams of an intact camp, dry and safe from the nightmares of what happened that day. He trained his eyes on the cat who had woken him. They were still blurry from sleep, but after a moment his vision cleared to reveal the cat as Gingerfrost. He wasn't entirely paying attention to what he was yapping about. Something about Cattail Pond and cats needing to fight. He managed to catch the part about apprentices under six moons or without battle training being forbidden from joining.

He sighed with relief. For once he was glad to not have any battle training. It meant he could go back to sleep. He didn't think he could stand if he wanted to. His legs felt weak and tingly like his bones were replaced with water. Lionpaw closed his eyes and allowed the comfort of sleep to steal him away again.

Silverpaw looked disappointed at the cats around him. He didn't have any battle training.
Oh, and how I wish I could get those cats out of our territory...! he thought, sighing.
The young tom looked over the other cats, looking for his mentor. He wanted to ask Dapplewing if he could give him some battle lessons.

The apprentice couldn't miss the next opportunity!

Firelight felt fully rested when Gingerfrost called for patrols, so she was more than willing to join in. Even if she was tired, she never let that stop her.

“I am,” she confirmed with a nod when Jayfeather came up to her. “Come on.” She began to lead the way to Sleepy Thicket. She wondered how damaged it was after the flood—would any prey have survived? Would it still even be recognizable?

The young warrior allows Firelight to lead the way to the Sleepy Thicket. Ironic name, he thinks to himself, because I'm so tired. He shakes the thoughts from his mind as he walks, slowly, behind the other warrior.
Not a very happy warrior at this moment, he hates the fact that the voices continue to whisper in his ears, mentally killing himself.

"There's a lot," Larkwing supplied, breathing finally starting to even out. "Maybe half the clan or more, I'm not sure, but definitely not less than that." She felt a little odd, being the informant on the matter, the one with all the knowledge the higher ups were deferring too. She had barely been a warrior for four moons now, she was still so young and there was still a whole heap of things she wouldn't know how to handle. Why was it, then, that it was her patrol that ran into trouble? Had she done something wrong? Did she somehow offend StarClan? "But, hey," she said then, quirking a smile and trying for her usual cheerful demeanor, "I'd say at least one of those mangey cats won't be forgetting me anytime soon."

And then Gingerfrost called for the clan, telling anyone who was trained to fight to join him in case things went sour. He wanted to talk first, and for some reason, Larkwing was decidedly not optimistic about that particular plan's success rate. ThunderClan wanted cattail pond, for some reason, and they weren't planning on taking it without a fight.

"Let me come too," she pleaded to the deputy, eyes determined despite her injury and exhaustion, "I can still fight."

The small ragdoll molly padded over after hearing there were ThunderClanners trespassing. "I'll come." She called to her mentor, a twinge of nervousness pricking her chest.

Inhaling and exhaling, she tried taking in deep breaths to calm herself, ginger fur still bushed from the run. That was two hostile Clan fights she had been involved in recently, as well as the whole flooding thing. Was StarClan really so mad at them that they wanted to destroy their Clan? Looking up with relief as Gingerfrost approached, she pushed herself to her paws to look less... pathetic.

"Bumblestar and the... the deputy and medicine cats are there- I think, and then lots of the warriors I think." She made a feeble attempt to answer, emerald eyes darting nearby as a familiar, wounded cat arrived. Larkwing. It's best if you two stay put here for a while, until Bumblestar has voiced her decision on whether or not we kill you. The warriors words echoed in her mind again as she finally felt her breathing grow steadier and her trembling legs became more stable. "Y-you're okay?" She breathed out, terror for the warrior melting into both relief and concern. "You need to be checked on by Stonepaw before... before going anywhere." She didn't really... care if she sounded like a bossy child. Right now, Larkwing just needed to be looked at to make sure wasn't going to be permanently injured. It didn't look like it, but better safe than sorry right now.

Her head snapped to the other side as she heard a familiar voice. Her mom. She was quickly enveloped in a hug, burying her face in Lilycreek's neck before looking up as she pulled away abruptly. "They just... appeared. One of said that we... we needed to stay until Bumblestar decided whether or not t-to.... 'm okay. Just scared." She choked out, swerving away from the last word, not wanting to face how she and Larkwing had practically at the mercy of the fierce enemy leader (and a last ditch effort to not worry her sorta-mother), racing heart slowing as her anxious mind finally registered that she was safe here. "Just scared." She repeated, voice shaking slightly. And tired. And her head hurt. And her wounds from the WindClan battle hurt, the majority had reopened, but considering the reputation of the ThunderClan leader, she assumed she got lucky escaping with little injuries to show for it.

Pressing her head on her mother's chest, she closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, waiting for her normal mask of control and calmness to slip on. "Sorry... I-I'm okay." Don't be a child, Briarpaw. Your Clan needs you. Her pounding head (maybe she should've gone to her brother to get checked for the concussion, but now wasn't the time) Pulling back, wiping the trickling blood off her forehead from the reopened wound, she glanced over at Gingerfrost as he spoke, the temptation to go fight and her fierce headache and lightheadedness going to war with indecision. She wanted to go. She didn't want to be weak. But she also didn't want to literally pass out on the battlefield and be more of a liability than helpful member. So she stayed with Lilycreek, making the executive decision to go where her mother went. Or where her brother went- if he had to go to the battle then that's where she would go. She had to protect him.
