Angry? Personally , fleapaw thought beastspark looked more than angry. Was fuming the right word? Hm. It took her a moment to process what duskblossom had asked her. "Uh , yeah. Thats fine." She answered before looking around. Maybe she was just being paranoid but she didnt feel comfortable out here. She felt a bit..unsafe. Theres two warriors here..I'll be fine. She reassured herself. Had the attack really scared her that much? If so , she wasnt sure how she would continue on with hunting if she felt like. "Anyway!" She said , suddenly changing the topic. "Lets separate , yeah? So we can hunt without running into each other." She suggested , nodding to the left of her. "I'll go over there "

Acornfall smiled briefly “yes... halfway through the day” His tail gave an anxious whisk before glancing out through the thicket. “Alright, holler if you need me. Be careful” The warrior offered quietly before turning away from the group and trotting off on his own

After breathing a sigh of relief that her brother had planned ahead, Foggypaw bounced ahead of her brother grateful that Blackpaw was the best brother any cat could ever have. After she was out of camp, she looked left and right unsurely about which direction to go. Foggypaw looked at her brother to see if he knew which direction they should head to.

Blackpaw padded next to her and leaned down, “Close your eyes, where does your heart take you?” He whispered. He remembered when his parents had left him, he’d ran to where his heart took him. It led him to ShadowClan.

Foggypaw listened to her brother’s advice and close her green eyes shut. Her mind wanted to tell her that she should ask Blackpaw to lead the way since he was the smarter and more experienced one out of the pair. Her heart whispered that there should be a good haul neither right or left. Confused, Foggypaw gave an imaginary paw tap to her heart to ask it what was that supposed to mean. Her heart whispered, look in front of you. What she last saw in front of her was her brother’s tail, her heart wasn’t telling her to hunt his tail...right? Her heart seemed to laugh at her and whispered no really in front of you, open your eyes.

Still confused what that was supposed to mean, she opened her eyes to see a plump pigeon 4 mouse tails ahead cooing and pecking on a rock. Huh, she thought, that wasn’t there before. Foggypaw looked at her brother to see if he wanted to hunt it.

Icestar felt the smallest pang of sympathy for the queen. She couldn't understand actually wanting to care for a kit, but Daintybird had seemed very enthusiastic about it. "I'm sorry for your loss," The leader dipped her head in condolences. "I know it must be very difficult for you. I feel as if life as a queen suits you rather well." She knew the she-cat wasn't one for getting her paws dirty--and being in the nursery would keep her far safer than returning to warrior duties. She had seemed happier there.

"If you wish to stay a queen, I will not make you return to the warrior's den," The leader offered, trying to lift her spirits. "I know nothing can replace what you've lost, but there are many kits in the nursery who are in need of supervision as well, if you wish to help with their care. ShadowClan has had a sudden influx of kits joining our clan without mothers."

As they padded along, it became clear that they had entered the area that had suffered the fire. The trees were still blackened and the ground was still not fully recovered, but there were buds glistening in the sunlight and many small trees that had sprouted since the burn. Birds could be heard singing in the less-barren branches, and prey scent was beginning to return. It gave Icestar a hopeful feeling.

"And a devastating loss it was, indeed," Daintybird mourned, a drawn-out sigh escaping her while she inwardly cherished each word of sympathy that was soaked from Icestar. Oh, she had been right about adopting that kit, motherhood was a perfect reason to continue celebrating her. Now, a grieving mother was even more worthy of the spotlight -- what monster would deny that? "Ah yes, I do enjoy influencing the future generation of the Clan. Enlightening them with my warrior's experience and mother's wisdom." Daintybird didn't particularly care for the scrappy little furballs if they were being annoyances but if they were willing to praise her, she could use a couple loyal minions.

Daintybird perked up, eyes alight. "Oh?" she asked, trying not to sound overly pleased about that... but she couldn't help her quiet excitement. "No, no... it would not be a replacement, but it may... begin the mending of my broken heart. To be allowed to stay among the other more fortunate families, the queens who simply can't understand." She would be happy to provide plenty of advice to them. Her single moon of motherhood truly did yield expertise on the topic. "Someday... I can only hope I can once again be a parental figure to a poor, abandoned soul."

Much like the kit, she abandoned that subject as they arrived in the charred forest... formerly charred forest. "Mm, yes, gorgeous," she said, a touch bland because she couldn't have this.. nature competing with her for Icestar's attention. An idea coming to her, she hid a devious smile. "Certainly nowhere close to the rugged beauty of you, though, darling," she tossed out there casually and moved ahead, plume tail swishing behind her. "A bit dusty. Still has that pinch of smoke hanging in the air."

Foggypaw felt the tiny shove and she looked at the pigeon with uncertainty. It was a pretty large bird and if she missed it, then there goes a whole den’s worth of feathers. Giving herself a small shake so then the pessimistic thoughts would stop influencing her actions. Dropping down into the hunter’s crouch that her brother helped her improve upon, Foggypaw stalked the the pigeon slow and steady. She was questioning why the pigeon was pecking on the rock when sudden she kicked a pebble by accident. The pigeon cooed loudly and flapped its wings. Unsheathing her claws and looking at the bird, she noticed that it cooed because it found a worm and not because of her clumsiness. Silently releasing the breath she held during that intense moment to make sure that the creature wouldn’t hear her loud thumping heartbeats.

A few moments later, she was close to the pigeon. Making sure that she found the sweet spot for leaping onto the bird, Foggypaw pounced onto the bird which made it drop its worm and cry out in alarm. She pinned it down with her claws and frowned when it was still moving.

“Uh brother? Isn’t to supposed to be dead by now?” Foggypaw meowed confused. She didn’t know you had to deliver the killing blow.

Stormheart trotted into the territory following the she-cat. “So.. were you born in ShadowClan?” He wasn’t the best at starting conversations, but it’s always good to know your clanmates to relate to them better. Besides they weren’t near any good hunting ground yet, so nothing wrong with some conversation.
