Re: RiverClan Streamstone
Lizardfrost felt a strange irritation tugging at her chest, at her heart. She felt like she needed to say something. She had not been part of this patrol, whatever it was, but she felt the need to speak up about it. The leader's word WAS the warrior code, but this was the medicine cat, not the leader. From the little she'd learnt about politics, she remembered that the clans didn't always share the truth with each other. That didn't mean she had to agree with it. The warrior code was a model of honor, but Lizardfrost believed there was more to it, a personal honor as a cat rather than just a clan member.
"Plumstorm is right. It has been made clear to everyone that Kestrelstar early on had pure intention to kill and damage ThunderClan as much as possible. Even if he never said it upfront. In the end, at least he owned up to his mistake, in a way, by regretting the raid. Not that that's gonna fix anything. Kestrelstar claimed he wanted to protect us, and I do not doubt that. I am not sure what pushed him to such anger, though. Then again, perhaps it was the cats that were hurt. I know well enough that I do not understand what it's like to prioritize certain cats, to find them closer than others, as I have no one, but I do have honor. And, in the end, perhaps Kestrelstar does too. You, on the other hand, Snakeheart, I have doubts about. I don't see why you get to speak for Kestrelstar or why we should believe you after what you said at the gathering. Battle tactics involving deceit and deception are fair game. Not owning up to what you did is another. Once again, I don't quite understand why cats are truly so fond of their own clan, although I am loyal to RiverClan as my honor as a warrior dictates me to be. Yet I know some truly stand behind the clan and are willing to overlook misdeeds done to others. I am not going to commentate on my stance on the subject. I do, however, think this was the last straw, even for those. Because Kestrelstar ordered us to kill and no one is taking the blame." Lizardfrost's voice was crisp as usual, yet somehow colder than it's already freezing temperature. She felt an odd tremble in her toes. Emotions are...so bizarre.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
After listening to everyone scream about this Blizzardsky finally spoke up,” Since Splashleap will be busy doing the duties of our leader. I’m willing to step up and fill the role of acting deputy. I can take over assigning patrols and handling any problems that come up in camp. Since I’m certain Splashleap will need help.” he meowed. Splashleap liked him, he was the obvious choice for acting deputy. He knew it. Finally the clan would respect him.

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
>Tumblepaw<The tuxedo rose to his feet, tail whipping back and forth, as Plumstorm sprang up to the Streamstone and turned to address the Clan. Loud, powerful, radiating truth and righteousness in the face of liars and schemers and cowards. This was what RiverClan had needed, needed now, would need in the future, for forever and ever. Not a trio of foxes with their tails between their legs, as the Clan's high ranks seemed to have become. It was a shame he probably wouldn't be around to see his home reach that future.
"He tried to turn those who would follow him to the end of the earth into murderers, trained killers to be used and discarded at his every whim," he snarled in agreement, "and those who were smart enough to see through his plans and brave enough to stand up to him were either killed or driven out! Those of you who stand up for him or continue to defend him are no better than he is." He couldn't bear to imagine the guilt the cats on that patrol must must have felt, must still be feeling. Made him sick to his stomach to think about being forced to kill or risk being killed yourself. Wouldn't be surprised if that was how that conversation had happened, as a threat held over the heads of good warriors who had only ever wanted what was best for their Clan.
It seemed like Kestrelstar had taken that desire, stomped it into the ground, and fed it to the dogs.
"He only started to care when his own cats started to die," he carried on, raising his voice to address those around him. "That was what it took to get his head out of the clouds. Our glorious leader is nothing more than a yellow-bellied snake who murdered and lied and stained every paw here with ThunderClan blood. Then he groveled for forgiveness and then ran when he couldn't handle the fact he wasn't going to recieve it blindly from everyone. He's probably not coming back, and to that I say good riddance - even if he does, it's only a matter of time before the cycle repeats itself over again."

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
✨Goldenpaw✨
No... no no no no no no no NO! This couldn't be happening her clan was falling apart around her and all she could to was watch as her clan-mates... did all this. First Pebblesong had been a mouse-brain to speak like she had done and to have threaded an apprentice (like Snakeheart had pointed out), then Tumblepaw, Kestrelstar's own apprentice had called their leader a coward (something Goldenpaw was very irritated about, if she was the leader's apprentice she'd wouldn't just turn on them as soon as they weren't there). Now, probably worst of all, Plumstorm had started to bark around how terrible she thought Kestrelstar was.
Yes, Plumstorm had ONE point, Kesterlstar had killed, seemingly without caring, but he had told everyone he had been in the wrong, and he had asked for forgiveness, he had been- he was a good leader. And Goldenpaw would be more then happy to defend his actions to anyone who needed it clarified for them.
At the same time she could almost understand where they were coming from, they were wrong but she thought she might have it clear to her self why they thought what they did. Even tough she was on Kestrelstar's side and trusted that he truly had received a prophecy to go where ever he was now, the others must sincerely think he'd abounded them in their time of hardship and need, which even tough it couldn't be true was a point of view someone could maybe have.
The thoughts were flying around in her head without her being able to catch a single one of them but there was one that screamed louder then all the others;
What will happen to my clan now...
Goldenpaw starred at Lizardfrost and Duskmoth as they gave their support to Plumstrom's opinion, she had hoped Plumstorm would be the only one to express such outrageous point of view but now two other warriors had apparently also gone mouse-brained. Goldenpaw's gaze shifted between the group of cats around Plumstrom and the deputy and medicine-cat up there at the Streamstone and a sudden rage and urge blossomed up inside her like a hot fire, she had holed her tongue long enough, she wasn't gone keep her thoughts to her self if her
clan was crumbling like this.
"Enough!" she hissed and stood up, raising her tail and straitening her back, she was still an apprentice and shorter then the majority of her clan-mates. "No matter if you think Kestrelstar is in the wrong to the right, good or bad or whatever, we can all agree that Riverclan is what matters the most, more then anything else. I believe in our leader, and I believe he'll come back once whatever prophecy he received has been fulfilled, but even if you don't we have to make sure Riverclan doesn't fall from it's grace just because of our difference in opinions." She wasn't sure how to continue but she hoped her massage had been understood at least a little, enough to make a change or at least been heard. She hadn't said everything that was on her heart but going on might just make things worse for her. Come on, listen to me She begged inside her mind while looking around, hoping to see heads turning towards her

Re: RiverClan Streamstone
@ Singing Jay
Lizardfrost felt something new now. Another weird tingle, this time in her forehead, like an unpleasant burning. It reminded her of times when she felt like there was nothing left to do, when she felt she wasn't doing enough. I guess you could call it...frustration. Anger, perhaps? Still, it felt rather new to her mind yet natural to her body. After she'd said everything, it felt like her mouth had been a blocked stream and someone had finally lifted the rocks that were in it's path. She whipped around and stared down at the cat, Goldenpaw with a strange expression.
"That's the point: RiverClan isn't the most important, we're not above everyone else. There's other living beings out there, other cats. And we shouldn't care only about our well-being, simply because nature decided to birth you in this clan specifically. That is selfish. And I think Snakeheart and Kestrelstar have forgotten that!" She was honestly surprised at the volume of her own voice. This had never happened before. Wait...it did happen...once.
Many moons ago, little Lizardkit of ShadowClan, half native and half Riverclan, approached a senior warrior with many questions of training and hunting. She revealed that she had been invested in combat training but had doubts about hunting after discovering she was born with no sense of smell. The senior warrior mocked her and told her she's just taking the recourses of the clan. And little Lizardkit had felt quite upset, loudly proclaiming how all this wasn't true. A moon later she left, in search of her relatives in RiverClan. Relatives she never found...
