it takes a long while for squirrelpaw to build up enough courage to even think about stepping foot into the well populated clearing, let alone actually do it. small paws shake with nervousness, big eyes glazed with tears that have yet to fall. she's grown up in this clan, she was born here, she knows these cats. yet, she's still terrified of them. and now, she's not a kit - she's an apprentice. she has responsibilities now, she has a mentor, she has to learn and she will eventually have to become a warrior (if she doesn't die before then...like she fears). realistically, she has nothing to fear..not in the middle of camp at least. there's a very little chance that she'll get harmed or suddenly berated.

she realizes this, and despite that, she starts to cry. she lets out little sniffles, a big frown engulfing her face as she sits in the middle of the entrance of the apprentices den. oh dear..oh stars above, please bless me with some sort of bravery.., she silently pleads, squeezing her eyes shut. she lifts a paw to wipe her tears, eyes still watery like the waterworks may begin any second. finally, she shuffles forward. technically, she's in the clearing - two inches out of the apprentices den. in the clearing.

the russet molly sits silently, shoulders hunched over and ears flat like she's trying to make herself seem invisible. which..is impossible, she's a fluffball. her face burns with embarrassment, though she's not even sure what she's embarrassed about. bless her heart.

Shadowlight padded silently along the edge of the clearing, avoiding every cat she could see. Problem was, she didn't see the cat sitting at the entrance to the apprentice's den. "Gah!" She yelped as she crashed into the unidentified cat. Shadowlight recoved quickly. In front of her was a she-cat, who looked like she had been crying. Shadowlight remembered herself in the same position when she was a 'paw, nervously waiting for something awful to happen. "S-sorry. Are you okay?" She mumbled.

flowerpaw, chubpaw and foxkit all pointed at each other. They were spidercats!

Spiralkit eyed the prey pile. Almost like he was looking for rotting prey.

After Dogskull had thrown the body over the border and made sure Featherpaw came back to camp by following his scent, the warrior looked around for the deputy. Once Dogskull spotted the scarred tom bark made his way over.

"A rogue decided to take a detour on our territory. When I found them they were already dead. Brackenfires scent was there too but I didn't see the sight of her. I took the body and threw it over the border with the outskirts. One last thing, Featherpaw was out alone, I ran into him when I found the body."

just as squirrelpaw starts to think maybe this situation isn't so bad, her worst fear comes true. a cat crashes into her! a warrior nonetheless. she feels her paws and face light ablaze. her heart drops to her stomach from the sheer embarrassment. this is the end of her. the russet molly is afraid she might just end up crying again - big tears welling up in her eyes. there's one good thing about it, though. luckily, the warrior she crashed into (who now that she looks at her, is shadow...something. shadowlight, she thinks) hasn't called her a complete mousebrain yet.

instead, shadowlight actually apologizes. it's a low murmur, but thankfully squirrelpaw heard it. she feels it's such a kind gesture (despite it just being basic manners), that she blinks her tears away with a smile. here comes a new problem..she actually has to talk. I new I shouldn't have come out here! oh, I should've just stayed in the den! she cries out in her head. really, she just wants to drag her paws down her face in regret. instead of doing that, she takes a deep breath preparing herself, and opens her mouth to speak. no words come out, though, and she just nods..with her mouth open. it's like her body and brain both teamed up together, making sure she made it just so much more awkward. great. she closed her mouth and forces a smile.

DreamingBloom looked down to the kits with her good eye, smiling fondly at the little fur balls. "They're wonderful.." She breathed, crouching down to look at them better. "Hello...I'm DreamingBloom." The molly said softly. Her cobwebs were gone, and in their place were jagged scars. One over the right side of her face, and the rest over her shoulders and legs. (Want me to mention the kits?)

"Their names are Talonkit, Hawkkit, Flowerkit, Foxkit, Lionkit, Bonekit, and Forestkit" Cougarbite told her.

"This is forestkit, my youngest born." He then said and nudged the sweet little brown tabby out.

Forestkit peeked his eyes up at the molly and said "hello!" very sweetly.

The scarred molly almost squealed once she saw the kits. “Hi, little darling. I’m DreamingBloom, a friend.” She said, smiling warmly down at Forestkit. “I think I know where they got their looks from.” DreamingBloom said with a joking manner, giving Forestkit a small lick on the forehead.
