The walking mouse bile of the earth" he spat angrily stiffening and allowing his glare to penetrate hers. "Neither do many apprentices get to chase out loners" meows the Tom sitting down. "I have seen her hunting our prey and setting up camp. I thought not to trouble timberstar with such foolish things, so I will teach you some fighting techniques. Then perhaps we shall give chase" meows the Tom his tail lashing in amusement.
"I haven't done nothing wrong and you are already going to fight me then chase me out?" She asked. "Oh, I have never felt so betrayed," she meowed. She then looked at the apprentice. "Your mentor has failed to chase me out once. Let us see him do it again," she mocked.

Cherrypaw came near her mentor. Her eyes grew wide with fear of fighting a full grown loner. She then perked her ears forward at the she cats words. She felt sad now. She wasn't sure what to do. "She didn't do anything wrong. Why should the innocent be punished?" She asked her mentor looking up at him with big eyes.

It was a quick direction change towards the base of a tree and the fox-colored warrior took a sharp turned and crouched, creeping forward. Just around the base of the tree it led to, a squirrel was scuffling through the snow, it's head buried like it was digging for something. Taking his chance, Foxspring put his name to good use. He was four tail-lengths away, his back legs tensed up and before he knew it, the muscles released, sending him flying towards the rodent. Foxspring's great leap took him directly to the rodent, landing squarely on it before it even knew what was happening. With a quick snip to the spine, it lay motionless. Although that came with consequence. Foxspring's chest hurt like nothing before. He winced, tensed while he worked out a way to relax himself. It was a few heartbeats before he did, but he managed to make the pain disappear.
Forestpelt's green hues glanced at her surroundings almost uneasily, and she felt a sting of frustration stab at her pelt. This frustration faded a little when she noticed the pain that Foxspring was in. Stubborn mouse-brain. She thought, although perhaps not as harshly as before. Despite all her sharp words and angry attitude, now being able to tell how bad the injury could be, Forestpelt felt the slightest sting of regret at being quite so irritable towards him. Still- he was being just as stubborn. And there's no way I'm going to step aside and let him have the satisfaction of getting to me. Forestpelt thought in a frustrated manner, the tip of her tail twitching as she did so. The black she cat glanced at her surroundings once more, her ears tilted forwards in anticipation of any noise. Her green hues weren't picking up any movement until...Somewhere in the bushes, Forestpelt caught the slightest brush of fur, darting into them. Her green hues narrowed and she swiftly padded towards the bushes, glancing into them for a moment. A rather thin rat, it's back to her, was nibbling away at a half rotted piece of fruit. Ugh, disgusting. Forestpelt thought with a shudder, but the rat was better then nothing. Moving swiftly, she lashed out with her paw, delivering a serious blow before she finished the small animal off. She preferred to finish it with the first strike, but if she had dared to pounce through those bushes, she would have alerted the small creature to her presence. She glanced back at her companion, the furry creature now clasped between her pearl-white fangs, and then she set it down between her front paws. "You need to be more careful. Are you trying to kill yourself?" She asked, her green hues flashing with annoyance. Her voice was not the general rasp-like hiss, but a sharp, clear tone that sounded almost nothing like her. She was surprised by how clear her voice had sounded. And she was half surprised by the words that had left her own maw. Although she wasn't friends with Foxspring, she did not wish him to injure himself further...or indeed, to kill himself while out hunting.

She argued with herself, her cream tail twitching back and forth as she did so. "That's okay. It was a long time ago, anyway." Sweetpaw mewed, giving him a sort of half smile. She wasn't quite sure what to say. There wasn't much that she could say. Besides, she wasn't quite sure whether she wanted to talk a lot anymore. It was a little strange, having told him those things. After all, she didn't know Ibisprowl right now...oh, but he seems really nice. He's not a bad cat. Just quiet, is all. Sweetpaw thought, as she gave him another small smile. Sweetpaw liked to try and find the best in everyone. She considered herself to be fairly good at that. It was another thing Cedarpaw had helped her with. Maybe- maybe Ibisprowl and I could be friends. Maybe that's all he needs, is someone who will be a friend to him. Sweetpaw thought, as she glanced up at him again.
"Really? Didn't your Dad ever tell you who your Mom was?" Sweetpaw asked, her blue hues suddenly sparking with interest and slight sadness. That's awful! Wait- I shouldn't have asked him that, that was a personal question! Sweetpaw thought, feeling guilty as she realized that.
"Oh, I'm sorry. That wasn't a nice question for me to ask, don't- don't answer that if you don't want to...sorry, that was rude of me," Sweetpaw mewed with a slightly embarrassed expression. She hadn't realized that she had been so rude to the tom until she had actually spoken the words. As Ibisprowl spoke again, the she cat looked up at the young warrior. There was...an almost hero-worship look showing in her blue hues. She was already beginning to admire the warrior. Perhaps it was just getting to spend time with a real warrior, which she had never really done before...and having Ibisprowl pay attention to her was nice. Even if he wasn't that social, he was still a nice cat. She could just sort of tell. Gosh, I wonder what his training was like! I bet it was really interesting, Sweetpaw thought with a half bright smile on her maw. "Okay." She mewed, the tip of her tail twitching as she followed him. "H-hey, what was your mentor like? I mean, did you like them and...and were they nice?" Sweetpaw asked, her curiosity showing in her expression. The she cat had a half smile on her maw as she awaited his answer.

She wasn't sure whether that was a question she should have asked or not. Did he think that was a personal question? Besides, he didn't really seem to like to talk...but Sweetpaw was interested in getting to know her mentor better. She wanted to have the kind of relationship that she had seen Cedarpaw having with his mentor...and the kind of relationship that most cats seemed to have with their mentors. But different is good. Different is better, sometimes. Right? She thought.
The cream apprentice was looking forward to Ibisprowl trusting her more. Perhaps, if her thought was correct, he would get to know her better with time. They might get to know each other better as they grew up.
It was always hard to figure out what the tom was thinking, he was always so guarded, and did well at masking what he was thinking for the most part, most of the time other cats only caught glimpses of those thoughts, like now, his apprentice catching glimpses of his sadness, but it was so fleeting and vague that it could have been mistaken as disappointment, or perhaps it was disappointment. No one really bothered asking what was on his mind because they were scared that they'd get their ear clawed off because the black and white tom was known to be easily angered by other cats.
His yellow eyes glanced over at her as she stated that it was a long tom ago, soon after giving him a half smile, he almost seemed to try to mirror it, but it only came off as an awkward almost sort of smirk. He wasn't the best at smiling because there were few times in his life he was.. Well. Actually happy. After giving the half-smile-smirk he looked away again, the look dropping from his muzzle and being replaced by that stony mask that he usually wore, preventing most of his emotions from escaping. For a little bit, awkward silence ensued before Ibisprowl eventually spoke up, asking a fairly random question, just something to break the silence because he knew other cats didn't enjoy it as much as he did, so in a way, he was being considerate. And she answered and he replied with his own rather personal reply, quickly regretting it because he had no business saying that.
The question surprised him and he quickly glanced over, blinking and looked back ahead, falling silent for a long moment before sighing out. "No. He didn't. The relationship hadn't worked out, I don't know what happened to her, maybe she ran away, that's the only thing I can think of. Left Shadowclan, became a rogue. My father didn't bother telling me who my mother was. And he's always so caught up in his duties that I just don't even bother asking him about it."
A small look of frustration and anger slipped out onto his face as he thought about his stoic, hard-working father, the one who was only there to teach him the warrior code, good work ethic, to not play around, never really there to comfort him and hardly there at all. His father had a good heart, he was always putting the clan before himself, but to Ibisprowl, he only felt like he was being shut out, shoved to the edges of society where no one really cared for him and just expected him to serve the clan and be happy with it.
More silence ensued, the tone of the conversation almost seeming to grow tense since the mention of his father, and of his unknown mother, his jaw tightening and his face seeming to have hardened.
Why am I even telling her this? It's not like she needs to know this.. But.. It does feel good to tell another cat about this. Is that socially acceptable? Nothing I do really seems that way, but is it.. Now? He sighs inwardly, allowing his face to soften a bit as he let the thought go, looking back over at Sweetpaw as she asked the next question.
My mentor? His mind wandered back to just a few moons ago when he was still an apprentice, training with Jaguarclaw.
"Oh.. He was a nice cat, but the training was never really anything special. He trained me, we didn't talk much, after training he would go off and socialize and well. I would be me. I have no ill feelings towards him." His gaze drifted away before he suddenly stopped, holding his tail out in front of her, an embarrassed look on his face. They nearly padded right over the border into Thunderclan territory.

Clearing his throat, he looked to the northeast, nodding his head in the direction. "That's Riverclan [northeast] territory off that way, this is the point where all clan territories meet, off to the right you have Windclan [directly east], this is where their border ends with us and then straight ahead is Thunderclan [directly north] territory."
The black and white tom didn't need to even scent this area, it was always well marked and really, the smell of all of the clans mingling scents was almost overpowering, he didn't want to stay here very long. "It's hard to pick out Riverclan's scent here, but they smell well.. Fishy, they eat a lot of fish, they like to swim, I'm sure you already know this." He pause and make sure she was ready to move on before moving along the Thunderclan/Shadowclan border. "And Thunderclan, they smell of the forest, leaves and trees and squirrels and what not."
In a way, he was happy he could move off the topic of other cats, he never really had any good relationships with others, friendship-wise and he hasn't even tried to dabble in romantic relationships, he could hardly stand other cats as it was.

Treestep waits by a thicket of thorns, awaiting his apprentice. He feels a bit nervous as Blizzardpaw hasn't been trained by a mentor in ages, and he might not remember what hunting is like. Watching out for badgers, making sure there are trees to climb in case of an emergency like a fox... He shakes his head to clear the thought and looks toward the Shadowclan entrance. He knew Blizzardpaw would be coming soon, and hoped this was a good hunting spot. All I do now is wait.

I have to get off for a bit, so sorry if I don't reply right away D:

(Its okay!)

Blizzardpaw padded toward where his mentor was, excitement welling in his fur.
Hunting lesson! He remembered his old mentor teaching him a bit, but it was a long time ago, but still, its good that he remembered a bit, right? He shook out his fur as he padded to the thicket, questions beaming in his amber optics. He wasnt sure what was in store, but it had to do with hunting, maybe? Blizzardpaw hoped so. Excitement was welling through the tom cat as he approached his mentor, ear twitching for any movement, pretty alert.

Treestep immediately padded over to Blizzardpaw, hoping he was ready. "This isn't a warrior assessment, of course not, but we are going on our first hunt today. I would like to see what you can catch in a certain amount of time. Anything you need to touch up on or any questions?" Treestep said immediately. He felt a little bad for putting all the weight on his shoulders, but this was the hard training he needed. "I'll be following along behind you the whole time, there's no need to worry." Treestep reassures before Blizzardpaw can say anything. "If you can sniff any other strange scents, please tell me, but otherwise, you will be fine." Treestep mews. He looks at Blizzardpaw, hoping that there was excitement in his eyes, and not uneasiness.
