Sure his answer was an eventual agree, but there was no enthusiasm there. "Don't if you feel forced to." She mumbled grumpily and turned her own ears back. She turned her face away too, avoiding contact as her guard went quickly back up.

Maybe this was another reason that she was so bad at making friends, because of her mood swings. She just never felt in control with others and it made her uncomfortable and quickly unnerved. She tried to keep her temper relatively cool while he had the chance to fix it, her tail tip flicking against the ground at a quick tempo. Though she urged her pelt to lay smooth.
Unsure of what to do now, Arrow found himself glancing up at the sky. Now, watching the sky had never been a big thing for him. He wasn't that fascinated by the white clouds moving across the gorgeous blue background... or the birds that soared through it, cutting through the peaceful scene with their dark shapes. He wasn't fascinated by the twinkling lights at night, or the fireflies that rose up from the ground like so many stars, joining them in the sky and flashing their abdomens.

"I don't feel forced to." He responded in a cool, calm voice, returning his gaze to the dark feline before him. It's just hard to know who to trust. That was something he didn't want to admit yet, not to a stranger-- well, now an acquantaince. But she wasn't a friend. It was a while before Arrow could really call someone a 'friend', and even longer before he could call them close whatsoever. "I think it would be interesting to go. I'm completely open for it, believe me." And he was being honest. Hopefully she would hear that in his voice and believe it.

Because, Arrow had never been the type to lie. And yet he survived here. He had never been the type to steal or cheat. And yet he survived here. He had never been the type to, in cold blood, kill another cat. And yet, he survived here. Thrived? That was a strong word that only the cruelest, strongest, most bloodthirsty cats in the Syndicate could say about the place. But, surviving was different. He stayed alive from day to day. He caught prey. If he was lucky, sometimes a conversation came. Some days he was tired, cold, hungry or in a bad mood, but at least he was still surviving. He was still living-- whether he liked the way it was or not. He absolutely didn't like it.

His gaze had moved around several times during his thoughts-- from her differently colored hues, to her dark pelt, to the sky above him. Which was now growing lighter and would soon require Arrow to move to a shadier area. The sun was not his friend during the warmer moons, and neither was the weather. Some cats wondered why he seemed so grumpy during this time-- just a look at his dark pelt should answer that. At least it was thin. Otherwise? Arrow didn't know how he would survive.

I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.

Nettle nodded. She had definitely seen that cat before. She thought of saying 'Nice to meet you', but it just didn't seem right. She was always testy with cats, this wasn't going to be different. "Hello, Obsidian." The alabaster molly snorted.

Obsidian felt like she should simply go find her friends, but she was tempted to stay put and sit with Nettle. "What brings you to randomly sit near me?" She snorted back.

"Ha, ha!" Nettle said rolling her eyes. Shewomdered why she hadn't moved yet. It was pointless to be sitting near this cat. "Thought you could use the company." She added sarcastically. The other molly didn't exactly annoy her but got pretty close.

Obsidian glanced away, ANY other cat would be better company for her right now. "Well, I don't, so you can go do.. whatever you do." The molly tried.
(either end RP or keep going with them annoying each other XD)

Though his words did seem like the truth, she didn't feel much relief. She still felt as though he was just being polite, and perhaps he was, perhaps he wasn't. She wouldn't know until the evening they went out to see if he seemed to be enjoying himself or not. Because of this distrust she sat in silence for quite some time after he had finished speaking, considering her options. Or at least that was what she was supposed to be doing, but instead she only felt herself growing more irritated and stuck on her initial read of him. Deep down her anxious side was whispering quickly to her that he didn't like her, that her efforts were futile, that he would never consider her a friend. She wanted to swallow the voices down and let her desired level-headed self take over, but as the heat of the day picked up so did the anxiety.

After a handful of minutes of silent debate and struggling to find some sort of response she abruptly got to her paws. A quick arch in her back for a stretch and she finally glanced back at Arrow, her expression was heavily guarded. "Alright. I'll see you tonight?" She said, preparing to leave to retreat to the cool warrior's den. Perhaps she could catch some rest although this conversation would blur through her head; she was quite tired from last night's adventures after all.

The Syndicate leader inquired, with an almost impatient thump of his tail. He wanted to get things moving.

Usually, cats didn't approach him just for a friendly chat. Most everyone respected him to a high enough level, to the point that he received little 'small talk'. Halite didn't like those pointless conversations, anyways. He wanted things to be down to business and over with. Hah, guess this makes me one of the most distant Commanders ever. Not that I should be proud of that or anything...

Throughout these few seconds, the Commander didn't look up to see the other tomcat's facial expressions. Even though his companion was clearly aggravated, Halite did not pay the slightest attention.
"I want to inquire about the condition and reputation of the syndicate as of this past moon. We lost the battle with SkyClan and in it, we lost the co-commander. We are more vulnerable than we should be...I fear you are in danger, Halite. Don't you think it's better to appoint a new co-commander sooner rather than later, when you are gone and the syndicate is left without a leader like it was for all those moons after Renn." The Tom explained, trying to sound as sincere as possible. When he spoke about co-commander, he wasn't necessarily referring to himself, trying to get appointed for he was truly concerned about the status of the dusk syndicate and the fate of all it's cats. They deserved so much better. "I sense you are in a hurry commander, so if this is the least of your worries, I won't influence you any more on the subject..." Fleck dipped his head and stared At the ground, hot as magma, at Haliye's paws until he replied.

"Ye, no." Nettle replied rolling her eyes. If that cat wanted to try and annoy her, she could annoy her right back. The molly plopped down, as if to say I'm not moving. She brought her left fore-paw up her face, and rasped her tongue over it. Then she moved her paw and put it over her ears. However, the molly still had her blinking gaze on the other.

"Fine" Obsidian sighed, amazed how resilient and irritating this cat was.
