Re: RiverClan Training Island
Cloudfang laughed. She meowed " Maybe a few! Would you want to learn slides, tackles, or just anything?"

@ EternalBlaze
The she-cat bounded onto the island, purring in excitment. She had bever trained anyone before! This was going to be great! The fairly fast apprentice had kept up with her, which impressed her. With a shake of her fur, (Which sent loose furs flying all over Snowpaw.) She commented sweetly "I love the feeling of wind in my fur! Dont you?"
The she was very excited, laying down and rolling over playfully into the apprentices paws. Springtail was more like a playmate then a mentor right now, not aaying she could teach though, she was one of those fun mentors that didnt mind goofing off.
"Alright! Training time!" the energetic ball of pur jumped up and stared meaningfully at her apprentice.

Eaglepaw jumped to his paws, paws shuffling restlessly.
"Anything, I don't mind!"

Snowpaw panted and he suddenly slowed to a stop. "Oh, we’re here?" he just managed to blurt out the words before he sneezed loudly. He blinked as as he slowly looked around, taking in the islands different elements. Considering he was now living on Riverclan territory, he wasn’t quite surprised that he found the the earth miry under his large white paws.
However he wasn’t going to let that stop his first training session in moons.
Snow glanced at the enthusiastic warrior, awaiting instructions. "What first? he mewed questionably. "Stalking? Pouncing? Killing?" his muzzle snapped shut as he realised he had accidentally emphasised the last word with such hopefulness. He gazed at his paws, hoping the she-cat hadn’t noticed. But he couldn’t help imagining slamming his paws into the creatures warm body, watching the blood slowly seep out beneath his cl-.
He stopped his thoughts, and as quickly as they had came he was growing terrified himself. Bellpaw would never forgive him for thinking that way. He shook his fur to clear his mind and looked back up. "Whatever you wish!" the tom mewed, as he gave a half hearted laugh.

" Ok, let's work on some tackles!" Cloudfang meowed. She waited for the apprentice to calm down.

Eaglepaw nodded, reading up at the ready.
"What kind?"

"Thank you," she said, way calmer than in her thoughts. "I just want to do my best." And I will be better than my brother.

Stoatdance purred, giving a quick flick of her tail. "Follow me then," she mewed, turning away and walking out of the camp. She walked at a brisk pace, though repeatedly turned around to make sure Silverpaw was able to keep up. Leading the younger she-cat through the territory, Stoatdance remembered the best way for her to navigate, swerving around different debris that had repeatedly caught her paws before. She soon bounded onto the Training Island, and stopped, turning around to look at Silverpaw.
"Now, we will do a mock battle with no claws. This will allow me to know where to start off on your training and where to work up from. Are you ready?" Stoatdance tilted her head to the side before lowering herself into a ready stance, tail sliding against the ground. She then began to circle around Silverpaw, watching her intently. "You make the first move," she ordered, a smile on her lips.

Though Silverpaw hated to admit it, she had a bit of troble keeping up with Stoutdance's pace as they walked to the Training Islands. If Stoutdance hadn't made sure she wasn't, Silverpaw might have actually fallen behind. Her ears flicked backwards in annoyance. I hope I didn't get too soft during my time without a mentor, already. Though the path was still familiar to her, and by the time they were at the Training Islands she'd gotten into a flow.
Silverpaw nodded at Stoatdance's instructions. Mock Battle. No Claws. That was just logical. She flexed her muscles and got into what felt like a suitable position when her mentor started to circle around her. "Okay!" she accepted the challenge with a purr.
She knew better than to show when she was going to make her move, so she kept her legs tense at all times. Before the fight had started, she would have time to plan, then she had to act on instict. Silverpaw took a deep breath. From behind would be too obvious, and she keeps her eyes on me anyways. So instead, when Stoatdance had done half another circle and was to her right, Silverpaw leapt forward. She started like she was about jump on her back, but instead dropped to the ground and aimed for her mentors legs to unbalance her. Even though you don't know anything about Stoatdance's skills, your best strength is speed, especially since Stoatdance is bigger than you, Silverpaw told herself, almost reluctantly. Just keep moving, even if you don't get it right!

Stoatdance watched Silverpaw, wondering what her next move was. When the apprentice leaped, she ducked and tried to move in order to protect her back, but with the attack to her legs, she fell on her side with a thump. She took a moment to recover, lifting herself to her paws with a smile on her face. Stoatdance's tail flicked against the ground, sending up a bit of dust as she quickly planned her next move. She's agile, the she-cat thought, observing Silverpaw.
"Good job! You really caught me off guard," she praised. Stoatdance straightened up like she was going to stop the mock battle, her ears twitching in thought. After a few heartbeats, the one-eyed she-cat darted to Silverpaw's side, quickly swiping a paw at her side before jumping away, crouching down again. She looked around for a split heartbeat before jumping to the side, then jumpimg to her former position and darting towards Silverpaw's legs, making sure to not expose her own belly.

Silverpaw was ready for her mentor to strike back, and watched her every move, until Stoatdance stopped and started talking. Silverpaw hesitated for a second, surprised that the training ended so soon, but returned to where she originally sat on the ground. Her chest swelled with pride by the praise and she relaxed.
Thus, the next attack took her totally off-guard. Silverpaw grunted when the blow landed, but she tried her best to retaliate, and twisted as fast as she could with a paw outstretched. Though, she swiped at empty air, as Stoutdance had already gone to her other side. Like silver lightning, she tried to fling herself to her side, but she missed yet again. Stoatdance was moving constantly out of her reach! When Silverpaw noticed Stoutdance moving yet again, she decided to wait a moment until she was in reach. When her mentor approached, Silverpaw kicked out a leg to defend herself, but Stoatdance was already defending her belly, and it resulted with Silverpaw losing her balance instead. Thistles and thorns! she hissed to herself. Although Silverpaw knew a thing or two about fighting, she knew nothing about what to do when you were on the defensive.
