Kion snapped his jaws shut at once.
Mufasa turned back to Simba. "I'll figure it out, whatever he's up to. It can't be anything good."
Kion growled in agreement.

"Okay! So we have a dead lion to kill." Kion said rather cheerfully, flexing his claws.
Mufasa sighed gently. "Kion, I have to ask you to stay out of this."
Kion's ears flattened. "But-"
"Kion's a tough kid. He can handle a jerk like Scar."
Mufasa turned, blinking faintly. "Son."
"Toka." Kion gasped, eyes wide as he gazed at his Uncle.
Toka tilted his head at them, his slightly faded pelt glittering. Then he smiled gently, and raised an eyebrow. His auburn gaze rested on Simba. "Hey, brother."
(BOOM *drops mic*)

Toka smiled at him, then looked at the sky. "So, Scar's returned."
Mufasa and Kion exchanged a glance, both of them with the same expression on their face.
"Yes." Mufasa said, albeit hesitantly.
"Great." Toka gave a forced smile. "Just great. Can you please point me in h--"
"No."
"I'll help you." Kion piped up. "I want him gone, too."
Toka grinned.
Mufasa growled. "Toka, he's just a cub."
Toka rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, I know from experience that this "cub" can fight damn well."
Kion blinked, and his gaze darted down to his paws immediately, ears flattening.
