The little calico tom sits alone by the prey pile, his small, fluffy tail curled around his isty-bisty paws as he licks his maw. He silently curses his little protruding fangs, knowing full well that he looks like an idiot. Burnetkit's black, light blue, and dark red fur is clean - thanks to his father.

Speaking of the older tom... His icy blue and warm green eyes search around the camp for his father. He feels sad when he does not see him.

Pink tongue lapped up at the stream that crossed through the camp's clearing, sating his thirst after a small meal. There wasn't much to do here today, and for once he was actually... bored. Well, more like terrified. It seemed after the gathering of the cultist cats, Monster had been... removed. Taken back to the nursery. Because... somehow placing the cat killer with a bunch of kittens was a good idea? Just when he thought he might be getting somewhere understanding these cats they threw him for a loop once again.

Tongue swiping some remaining droplets from his lips, an unfamiliar voice called his name - or his clan given name, in any case - prompting him to look around, emotionless eyes landing on the cat he had identified some time ago as his mentor. Confusion brewed inside him, masked by his usual look of disdain as he stared at the molly appraisingly. So... She was apologizing. Good. This was good. This meant he wasn't in trouble. Not like he should be. He had searched for her, after all. A whopping three times! Well... One of those had been in his mind only, but it counted!

Fudge wasn't one to toss a gift away, though. If it wasn't his fault, he wouldn't mull it over. Less of a chance for him to end up tossed out of this strange little hell he'd found until he was ready to leave on his own. Away from Monster and the rest of the killers. His eyes narrowed imperceptibly, wondering if Tiger...blush - he would have to remember that, probably - was like Monster. Killing and bringing pelts around with her. She didn't seem the type, at least... so maybe this wouldn't be so bad? Oh... but he was probably expected to have said something by now, right? These cats were chatty, after all.

Reading her body language, she appeared to be... nervous? Not quite like The Boulder when they had kitnapped him. That cat had thrown themselves to the floor wailing something fierce. But still... it was enough to be noted. Perhaps he should say something reinforcing? Something uplifting? To let her know all was forgiven? Yes... that would work well, he supposed.

"Adequate," the Havana Brown mix drawled, emerald hues deadpanned as they met their mentor's similarly colored orbs.

He does not hear his name - he is deaf after all - but the kit still turns around because he felt another cat bat at him. He then looks at them, and offers a slight smile. He leans back so he can sign. 'Hi! What's your name again, if I may ask.' He signs slowly, not knowing if the other cat can understand his signs.

"CloudKit, Ima be an apprentice cat soon!" He signed. Cloudkit figured the cat was deaf, and his nightmares have been worsening

 

Cloudkit has been dreaming of cats, from the dark forest. And never realizing those were his parents. Suddenly he fell over, and saw a flash of blood and heard a falling tree.

He allows the other kit to lean on him before he starts to look around worriedly. He wonders what is wrong with his new friend, and he has been suffering from nightmares as well.

 

Burnetkit loves his father - Spottedfire - with all his heart, but he senses that something is off at times. He knows his father does not remember all the time - that doesn't bother him at all. What bothers him is the looks that some cats give them when they're in camp.

Sometimes he worries that his father will abandon him. He does not know why he fears it so much, but something he does not remember nags at his mind like a flea on his pelt.
