"Depends on the damage you're trying to inflict," the sandy brown tom replied dryly, looking at Bravepaw with an unimpressed expression on his muzzle. "If you're trying to attack a cat bigger than yourself, like me for example, I suggest you try and hop onto their back. Hold onto their scruff with your teeth so you don't fall off and go to town with your front and back claws."

Ratwhorl regained the position of proper battle crouch, with his feathery tail tucked underneath him so there was less of him for a hypothetical opponent to grab onto. "Try it out on me, if you want. Just keep your claws sheathed. And then maybe we can wrap this up."

Whisper strolled around, carefully avoiding the few branches and leaves. Hawkmist ran right next to her. “I’ve got an emergency.”

He whispered everything that he saw, and how maybe Whisper could help. Whisper nodded. “You don’t want them to end up like me. I remember that. And I will try my best.”

“It might not work though. I want you to try to gain their trust anyway.”

Whisper nodded again. “Leave it to me.”

Bravepaw nodded. He ran and jumped onto his mentor, carefully holding onto the scruff, and padding him gently. He then jumped off.

“So... how did I do?”

[RAT KING]

"Good, for an apprentice on their first day," Ratwhorl grumbled, not entirely unkindly. He was sour but he didn't think Bravepaw was at fault for him being stuck with him. "Just remember that your opponent will be bucking or might roll over to try and get you off of them, so you have to pay attention to stay on balance and keep your teeth dug in good."

He flicked his fluffy tail back in the direction of the camp entrance. "Go back and get yourself something to eat. And bug another warrior to continue to practice on, if you must. Just let me have my peace for the day."

”No way I can argue at that!” Bravepaw smiled chirpily and headed back for camp. “See you soon for our next training session!” he mewed as he left.

"Hey,Bravepaw!" Shadow stopped and snarled. "What are you doing out of the camp?" Shadow gave him a mocking glare before speeding off toward the Rogue Woods.

Bravepaw turned around, looking at the new loner. “H-hey come back!” he yelled, running after her. “Get back here! Now!”

He stopped when he noticed Hawkmist talking to a loner. “Hey, uncle! What’s going on?”

Hawkmist muttered something into the loner’s ear, and they immediately ran off.

Lobsterbreath rolled his eyes,” No, this isn’t Thunderclan territory, this was my home for many, many moons and a couple of moons ago Thunderclan just came in and claimed my home, and many other rogues homes as part of Thunderclan, Not to be mean....apprentice, but I could easily defeat you...” he replied baring his teeth slightly,” You probably heard stories about me as a kit from the elders to scare you a little...does the name Lobsterbreath ring a bell, the Riverclan warrior who was punished for disrespecting Fallenstar and didn’t want to do apprentice duties so I killed that poor Plumkit, or the rumors that I still spy on the clans late at night, waiting for another victim? I killed my sisters mate, so she might join me as a rogue, but I haven’t seen her sense...I figure she is avoiding patrols to stay away from me” he rumbled unaware she had died leaving her apprentice age kits alone. The only reason he knew those rumors was because he did spend many moons spying on Riverclan camp, due to not leaving the territory long, he had retained his scent of Riverclan back in those days as to not raise an eye on the scent.
