The molly sighed, staring at her paws. She was thinking of the kit. She didn't notice the sound of pawsteps. Didn't notice the scent of her friend. As she heard his voice, she turned to look at him, eyes full of sadness and fear. "Bl...Blackhaze.. I'm.. she paused, gritting her teeth. Should she lie or not? Maybe not to the warrior. A mix of Horrible, Suicidal, Okay and not wanting to die because I feel protective and somehow caring towards a particular kit. How about yourself? Thornscratch told him. She didn't know ... She wanted to end her life ... But she didn't want to leave Leopardkit behind ...

Scorchstrike had chased that rabbit all the way to the edge of the territory and still lost it. If she didn't catch something on the way back, she was going to come back to Shadowclan with a big fat lump of nothing. I should look for something else, that rabbit's long gone. The queens need to eat, especially with all the messy stuff going on right now."grrrrrrr" "What? What's that sound? "GRRRRRRRR" Scorchstrike's heart was beating faster. All her instincts were telling her to run, but her feet were frozen to the ground! A huge furry head poked out between the trees, then paws, then huge flanks. It was a dog. A gigantic, slobbering, dog. "AAAAAAAAAAAH!" "BARK BARK BARK"
Scorchstrike's life was flashing before her eyes. Someone...anyone...please help me...

Scorchstrike was making peace with the fact she was about to die. She felt strangely peaceful about that. She couldn't see out of the right side of her face, or hear very well either. There were so many things I never got to do! I never fell in love, had kits, my own mother didn't care for me... my life really was a waste. She noticed a black velvet wave making her slip away...
