Ripplefur sat contently in the clearing, grooming himself. He stopped for a moment to gaze around when he spotted Hawktalon. The tom got up and padded over to the other warrior. "Hey Hawktalon! What are you up to?" Despite not knowing the warrior very well, Ripplefur acted as though he did. He sat down again and preceded to stare at the (tom? she-cat? other?), waiting patiently for an answer.

It wasn't a question, it was a demand when some of these cats had hardly done anything for the Clan before they vanished.

Nightkit flattened his ears a bit. Just do it quickly, like ripping off cobwebs from a wound. "I wanted to explore the territory but I got lost," he mewed, and... That was still a lame excuse, wasn't it. Well, at least he wasn't lying! He could take pride in being honest, unlike some others, probably.

He grinned, padding up to the other tom.

"Hey, there, Ripplefur!" He cast a quick glance at his clanmate's fur, then added with a friendly mrrow; "Or should I say, Tanglefur."

Hawktalon flicked his tail towards the half-eaten fish that lied in front of him.

"Well, right now I'm eating."

Suddenly, a thought popped into his head...

What if I got sick?

Ripplefur huffed, glaring playfully at his Clanmate. "Well if I hadn't gotten up to talk to you, and kept grooming myself, my fur would be as silky and soft as always." He flicked his tail at Hawktalon's pelt, "And you can't be talking. It looks like someone pulled you backwards through a briar bush!" The grey tabby grinned, he was happy to have a friendly conversation with a friend.

A final growl emerged from Sootflare's throat as he got tired of pacing around the clearing waiting for Blueheart to show her face. He wasn't keen on wasting his own time waiting for whatever this coward came up with for a half-assed excuse. If she didn't care to explain herself, he would just have to go to Lionstar without her side of the story. He doubted she could come up with anything good enough to justify her appalling behavior, anyway.

With a sigh, he glanced back at Foxkit. He padded over and nudged her side gently to make sure she was awake before speaking,"It's not my job to issue you a punishment for your little escapade but know that if it was up to me, you'd be picking out the elder's ticks until you were old enough to join them." he meowed,"Run along back to the nursery, bud. I'm sure you're more than tired."

Foxkit looked up at Sootflare with tired eyes and nodded. She wished it was all a bad dream as she managed to stumble to the nursery to sleep.
