He shook his head when she mentioned frightening the prey away. Quillpaw listened, tongue slightly stuck out he focused on trying to balance his weight, posture, raising up his twitching tail. "And paws apart...not too close," as he spoke, the tabby spread out his paws more. "Hm, what a strange technique, I will need to work more on my execution with this stance." Watching carefully, lips shaping into the letter 'o' as she set an example for him to follow. "Ah, splendid!" Paw rapidly drumming against the ground in his own way of applause for master's amazing display of stealth and strength - the tabby followed next. "Affirmative. Memorized and locked in," confirming out loud.

He got this.

A sudden drop is a very tall standing tabby he slinked down low like a snake, dilated pupils narrow focusing on the target of a brown leaf in front of him. This was a different side of the quirky cat looking fierce as if the leaf was an actual rodent nibbling on a seed. When stalking forward he froze a few seconds before moving forward and once getting close enough he launched forward crushing the leaf into pieces under his paw. It would've been more satisfying if it was mouse though. Crumbling, pieces fluttered down when flexing his black paw, unsheathing and sheathing white claws that he'll soon put to use when there's another battle afoot. He'll be more ready to defend and fight! "How did I do, master?" facing her, switching to his enthusiastic self. " Uno to Cinco, Cinco being proficient, hm?" He got closer to her, eyes big awaiting for her words. "Hm? Hmm?" he let out an 'oh' reminding himself of what happened during that wonderous meeting/ceremony. " I have almost forgotten, this is not like me- no not at all. You wanted to talk to me after the ceremony, Duskstar. I'm ready for your queries!"

"Hold up. Try standing normally, and do it one step at a time." Mossyflight stood back up and rushed up to the apprentice and helped him up. He crouched back down. "First crouch, and then one paw at a time, set them apart. See if that helps, dear."

Moonpaw bounced after her mentor, excitement bubbling through her veins in anticipation. She was finally going to learn how to fight! "What am I gonna learn first?" she asked.

Bouncesnarl nodded. "yeah. I think I can see the camp from up here. It's small from here.", he meowed. The tom always thought the camp was always big, but it looked so small from the cliffs. "What does look big is our territory. There's so many places to go.", he added. Bouncesnarl was awestruck by the view.

Berrybreeze ran into the cave, panting heavily after he finished. Running was definitely not his strong suit. Why did he race Quailpaw? Sure he won, but at what cost... with another deep breath he turned to Quailpaw after she finished behind him. "Gotcha." He laughed breathily, still trying to recover from the race. Man, he really shouldn't have ran. Hopefully it wouldn't impact training. Oh Starclan. Training. How was he supposed to do this?

Owlstorm was barely able to keep his mouth from dropping. She was blind? Yet... If I can teach her how to climb and hunt in trees then surely I can teach anybody? He told himself with a nervous flick of his ear. “Sure.” He said, putting a little cheerful edge to his mew. When she said watch the skies his face softened, and he nodded even though she couldn’t see it.!”Yeah of course kid.” He mewed. “But before we do any tree hunting your learning how to first climb The tree without falling.” Owlstorm warned and stood up, ready to head off. When he remembered she couldn’t see, he had to bite back a sigh. This is going to be a long training session. He thought, exasperated, but shook his pelt to get rid of the thoughts. No use thinking them when the apprentice wanted to go with him instead of making him force her to come. “Let’s go.” He mewed, beginning the walk towards the entrance knowing she would catch up. “I’m Owlstorm by the way.” He said, voice friendly as if his worries from earlier had been forgotten.

{ Doetraining }
Doepaw nodded at the tom's answer and began following him, slowly. Reassured that he would be watching the skies for her, she had grown a tid bit more confident. It was a massive surprise when it came to the impact that just someone keeping her safe had on the young and anxious apprentice, she felt more safe, more confident just with that promise. She knew then that any dangers that might come her way, she would be able to hear before being able to see and that gave her a significant advantage over any other cats that she might be out with. And so, she followed him out in the territory, but as soon as she'd entered it she paused slightly. This was her first time out of the camp with someone else that wasn't her mentor, well outside of when she'd run after Flintspirit, but that was still her mentor. And so she started to take small, nervous steps as she got further and further into the territory following the tom's lead. "Will... will... we... be... at... a... tree...climbing...tree... soon? I.... I... can... hear... so... many... birds."

The little apprentice just pressed her body against Flintspirit. She realized there wasn't much she could do as the adult cats talked but just be there for him. Silent comfort was often just the best even though it hurt the apprentice that she couldn't do more for him, she so wished she could do more for him. It hurt her to hear his pain and feel his sobs through his fur and... she just wanted him to feel alright, but even at her age she knew that this was not something that would just go over, it was something that her mentor would struggle with that he would be struggling and then slowly piecing himself together, piece by piece... And Doepaw knew she would be there to help him every step of the way... or well she would at least try to. And so she offered her quiet comfort. When Shadedpath started talking about not repeating mistakes Doepaw got curious but... it was not the right time to ask any questions regarding the other's past. They were here for Flintspirit and here they would remain until her mentor was good enough to come back. She wasn't willing to leave his side again... He helped her, she wanted to help him... "Do.. you..need...anything?" she voiced slowly. She could hunt... or well, she could attempt to. She had yet to receive any lessons, but she could pick up the sounds of small steps fizzling over the ground and she well... she could probably try her luck at catching anything.. "Do.. you... need... water? I think... I can... find... some.. moss... and... a...stream... I... can... hear...water... Shouldn't... be too... hard. Or... or.. maybe... I... can... try... to... catch... something... something.. that.. isn't... a... woodpecker."
