Late, late! He was late! Beanpaw ran as fast as his little legs could carry him toward a shape that he hoped was... Spiderpaw! "Hey! Hi. S-sorry!" he meowed sheepishly, looking toward the ground. No! He had no time to feel embarrassed. He had to find a warrior!

A russet-furred molly sprinted enthusiastically into the den, tiny heart practicality racing with unbelievable excitement: she was going to get to attack a full-grown warrior! A bummer she wouldn't have the opportunity to use her claws - it would definitely benefit her current skillset. Buuuut, if it meant not genuinely harming her clanmates, then she was in!

Baring her teeth in a fearsome growl, Hazelpaw lunged herself forward and into the air, sheathed paws outstretched as she searched belowground for whatever warrior she could attack. Oh, well. So long as she didn't accidentally end up landing on and squashing another apprentice.

Woollyflame woke time the sounds of screeches and cats fighting. It was a miracle he hadn’t woken to claws in his flesh, as he was a new warrior and was in the outer ring of nests! Wait. Who...

All these cats seemed... small! Did ShadowClan send kits to attack them? No, the scent was all RiverClan. Did they... disguise the scent...? No!! He could see a few of his former den mates fighting each other! The apprentices were attacking!! What was going on?

Was Slatesting alright? He knew she liked to sleep, but no cat could sleep through this! "Hey, Slatesting!" he called, hoping he didn’t draw attention to himself.

Tail streaming in the air from behind her, Hazelpaw allowed herself a moment of relaxation as a gentle zephyr swept through her fur, buffeting the darker-colored fuzz of her shoulders. But the coolness lasted only a brief few seconds, because before she knew it Hazelpaw was diving downward and toward a warrior. Reedpelt, she recognized. Oh, well, might as well take advantage of the result.

Gritting her tiny fangs, the young apprentice threw her forepaws in the air before bringing them heftily down in an attempt to whack the surprised warrior's face in a startling attack.

Hazelpaw permitted out a yowl of triumph as she jerked her head downward and toward the ruff of the tom's throat, where she would hopefully grab a hold of some of his fur. Should she somehow end up succeeding, she would then proceed with trying to lug him upward into a fearsome toss. "I got you now, warrior!" the teeny she-cat growled.

Ah, bummer: Reedpelt had managed to start thrashing around till he was at last able to manage bucking the young apprentice off, knocking the air out from her lungs as she landed with a thud in the corner of the den. Well dang, that sure hurt.

A few moments passed until Hazelpaw found herself wobbling unsteadily back to her paws, ears curled back against her skull as she let loose a vicious growl. Steadying her forelegs, she at last charged the warrior.
