ShadowClan Patrol Place

Blackhaze quickly hurried to be placed on a patrol.

Finpaw eagerly gathered up in front of Dawnstar with the rest of his clanmates ready to be assigned a patrol. This was so exciting! The way things used to be, he never got to be so useful to his clan so often, but now he really felt like he was contributing again. And if his continued participation could help prove his dedication to their new leader, then all the better.

He sat down with a respectful dip of his head and awaited Dawnstar’s next words.

[Prompt: A hungry rogue tries to steal prey ]
"Ghostail [ @~-Stealth-~ ], you'll lead the hunting patrol. You can take your apprentice, Scorchstrike [ @ChillCat ], and Sunpaw [ @RussetShade ]." Dawnstar ordered with barely a glance at the cat.

[Prompt: There are signs of a fox in the territory ]
"Moonhowl [ @DaniCalifornia ], lead the second hunting patrol with Burningspark [ @Pluto ], Stempaw [ @Zesty Mango ], and Gorsefall [ @goldebwhisper ]." The hunting patrols were normally rather dull, but necessary. The clan needed to be fed.

[Prompt: Territorial Bullfrog won't let you pass ]
"Adderfang [ @Rani ], since you're looking for something to do. I want you to lead the border patrol to RiverClan. The last patrol failed to report to me, do not make the same mistake. Brackenpaw [ @Peril ], Dreamcloud [ @hope ] and Shrewpaw [ @gs29153 ] are with you." Dawnstar wasn't going to bother placing mentors with apprentices when they don't bother to show up for patrols. It was their job to take the initiative when it came to training.

[Prompt: A fight breaks out with a WindClan Patrol ]
"Stonefang [ @Redtalon ], you'll take a patrol to WindClan's border, take Dogsnarl [ @Beau ], Windstrike [ @Pepperkins ], and Talonstone [ @bmkmb]. I want you and your patrol to push our border out, not much, I have no interest in their territory at the moment. Just make sure the rabbits know we were there." This was an important task, a small step in her plans to bring the bunnies to their knees. "If you come across a patrol, shred them, we don't have to explain ourselves to a lesser clan."

[Prompt: A cat from ThunderClan ends up chasing prey into ShadowClan territory and wants it back ]
"Acornpelt [ @Saltyteardrops ], you're in charge of ThunderClan's border. I highly doubt we'll have any trouble with those pathetic fools. Mousestar can't even control his clanmates. Take Finpaw [ @Finpaw ], Blackhaze [ @Exis ], and Pumpkinpaw [ @Willowfern ]. Let me know if they've been marking their border." Dawnstar knew her mother had some plan to make the mice rely on them, but so far she's been rather clueless on how they were supposed to come to rely on them. She might have to pay Mother a visit. If they weren't any use to ShadowClan, Dawnstar was going to stop playing nice.

[Prompt: There's a porcupine in a hollow tree ]
"Fawnwhisper [ @Dart (The Nightlight) ], take Doetuft [ @Arie ], Littlepaw [ @StarSpirit2009] and Chickadeepaw [ @Daunting Drago0n ], out on a for a stealth hunt tonight. The apprentices could use some extra training in moving in ShadowClan's element." She had heard that her mother and the behemoth had done so training in moving around the night. It would do them good if they started doing night hunts regularly. ShadowClan could use the extra prey as well.

[Prompt: You caught a mouse and an owl caught you]
"Blackpelt [ @StealthWarrior ], Doeflame [ @gs29513 ], Sparkpaw [ @Redtalon ], and Fadedpaw [ @Jack ], you can go out on a second stealth hunt." Her lips curled a tad at Doeflame's name, hopefully, the molly would be more successful this patrol.

"All of you, remember to report to me as soon as you are done."

"Dawnstar never said you were leading, I am. You better get your apprentice now." Ghosttail padded to the edge of the marsh and glanced back. @ChillCat @RussetShade

"Okay, geez. SUNPAW!" Scorchstrike hopped to Ghosttail. "I hope we don't meet any porcupines. One of their quills was stuck in my mouth once. That sucked."

Windstrike rolled his eyes at the mention of Stonefang. That was the weird cat he had seen in the territory wasn't it? Oh well, he wasn't here to get in awkward petty arguments, they got the privilege of pushing the border out! Smirking as he stood to find his patrol mates, he flexed his claws. If they did meet another patrol, he'd be sure to leave them with a few claw marks they would be sure to remember!

"Hm. I guess. What I hope we don't meet are enemy cats, it would really suck if we encountered a WindClan cat." Ghosttail smirked at this. "For them."

The frosty warrior flicked his tail in a time-saving act of agreement, then turned to go find his patrolmates. Dogsnarl, he knew from observation, was not a feline to mess around with. Stonefang, he had seen around camp, and Windstrike, also. No apprentices had been assigned with them, which he found reasonable but strange. They were actually being expected to shred some cats. Talonstone preferred not to make enemies, although he didn't mind a good fight. He would think that he was rusty, but he really wasn't. Not with all the surprise training that he'd been forced into doing recently. The tom promptly decided that this was a test. A test to check the borders, a test against the windrunners' strength, but also a test within themselves. To see who was the best out of the four of them. The warrior saw Windstrike first, and he stalked over to the older cat, trusting that the remaining two felines would find them soon.
