Charlie was about to make an annoyed noise, but her eyes widened when she heard the Horror. She stood as still as possible, trying to keep her breath quiet.

The Horror was nearby the entrance of the cave, not moving. Teddie had Charlie and herself back up but Teddie tripped over her own feet, making both of them fall down. Teddie let out a cry of pain as her arm as shi=oved into a rock on the ground.

Charlie let out a quiet oof as she hit the ground. She sat up quickly, shuffling over to Teddie.

The Horror turned sharply over to them at Teddie's cry of pain. Teddie jumped for cover.

Charlie gasped, and glanced around quickly for somewhere she could hide. But nothing came to her immediate sight, so she turned back to look at the Horror with wide eyes.

The Horror shot forward, but Teddie slammed into Charlie, throwing her away as the Horror grabbed Teddie and was gone right away, taking Teddie with it.

Charlie yelled as she was shoved aside, landing on her wrist as she hit the hard floor. "Ow!" She grunted, standing up. She held her wrist, looking around. Where was Teddie...? And then, she felt a wave of fury. The Horror! It took her! She let out a scream of rage, and ran out the cave entrance, in pursuit of Teddie and the Horror.

Charlie ran over to Teddie, looking her over. Oh crap, she wished she'd listened to her stepdad's lectures on medical stuff!

Teddie was still breathing, but barely. Her mask was ripped next to her face, her eyes closed, tears slowly dripping from them. She had a long scar that started from her left check, went across her nose, and up to her right eye. And that scar was open now. That was the most dangerous injury Teddie had.

Charlie looked at her snake puppets, and then back at Teddie. Very reluctantly, she pulled one off, and pressed it over Teddie's scar to try and soak up most of the blood.
