Littlepaw rose upon hearing her name. Ah, but... she didn't expect to win. In fact, she hadn't really. Maybe it would be best to just say Copperpaw won instead? She was just an apprentice with hardly any training going up against a warrior.

No, I can take him, obviously! I mean, I probably won't win, but... Littlepaw encouraged herself.

It was too late to back out, anyways. She rolled her shoulders and readied her paws. The fight was starting.

Nightspark had his opponent, he quickly looked if his claws were retracted and fixed his attention on the apprentice, he thus started to move left and right, suddenly, he tried a feint to the right, without even wait his opponent's reaction, he attacked on the left side and rushed shoulder first to knock down the apprentice, he also hoped to frighten his opponent, as he was silent and emotionless while attacking, some battles are won with the strenght, other consists to break the enemies before attacking....

It was not hard for Flintfang to avoid the attack, since he could clearly see it coming. Leaping to the side, Flintfang half turned to swipe a sheathed paw at Smokepaw's side, perhaps to unbalance the apprentice and make her trip as she rushed past.

Smokepaw narrowly missed Flintfang's paw, but was unsteady. She jumped up and pounced at the warrior.

Firelight jumped at Dewpaw, feeling confident knowing the apprentice would likely be an easier opponent than Bluefang. Sure, Firelight was weak, but Dewpaw was an apprentice who hadn’t finished training.

As Smokepaw leaped to her paws, steadied herself, and then lunged at him in an attempt to leap on his back, the silver warrior waited until she had a hold on him before flipping to crush or pin the smaller feline beneath him. Who knew if it'd work or not? But Flintfang really wanted to avoid injuring Smokepaw, because bringing back an injured apprentice to camp was not what he was here to do.

All of Smokepaw was fine, except her tail, which was now crushed. It would heal though. She swiped at Flintfang's muzzle with her claws sheathed.
