Burntwhisker chuckled, "Here, we will split it," she said as she moved the prey in between the pair. "I know you need it," she said as she gave a soft smile to him.

Foxclaw skillfully divided the squirrel in half and gave one of the half to the cat, before gobbling up his half. He hadnt realized how hungry he was until now, but half a squirrel was enough for him.

The she-cat ate all of the prey. she was hungry since she used a lot of her energy yesterday. She then licked her lips and looked up at the tom, "You want to stay out here a bit longer, or do you want to go back? Whatever you choose is fine with me," she said. Burntwhisker honestly didn't care which one he chose. However, she did like to talk/spend time with him.

"I would rather stay out here" Foxclaw said, after a moment of thinking. He had never admired how beautiful the trees looked, for he had taken the nature for granted. He stared at a tree in front of them, not realizing how stupid he looked with his wide eyes.

Burntwhisker nodded and smiled, "As you wish," she said as she followed his gaze to the trees, "Pretty, aren't they?" she asked him as she blinked. She remembered when she was younger that she would come out to the forest and look at the trees, take in the scents, and watch everything.

Foxclaw, meanwhile, was not even observing the tree anymore, for his mind was elsewhere, lost deep in his thoughts. He was still processing through the battle, now remembering how he killed a cat along with another cat he can't remember, and how the cat he killed was picking a fight with a kit.... or an apprentice, he wasn't sure.

Burntwhisker sighed as he didn't respond. /Was he still thinking about the battle?/ she wasn't sure but she stayed silent not wanting to interrupt whatever he was thinking about. She laid down now and put her head on her paws.

He thought the same thing over and over again, creating a cycle that seemed to never end, until suddenly, a sharp pain followed by a few coughs jerked him away from the cycle of thoughts. He clutched his chest in pain, the reason unknown even to him.

The smaller she-cat leaped up as the male looked in pain, "What's wrong?" she asked him worry in her eyes. She had no idea what to do. She was not a medicine cat, and the medicine cat would be busy with the other wounded. She needed to help her friend though.

"N-no, s-fine" He rasped, realizing how his voice sounded husky. "It's not going to kill me" he assured, "I'm fine." He took a few deep breaths before clearing his throat. 'Why did it happen again?' He thought, remembering when this happened during the battle.
