"Hey there." He smiled at Fiercekit as he entered the den, and fiddled with his nest for a moment before tucking himself back in. "Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you for a bit. Moonstep told me what happened, but I just want to get some confirmation first. What, uh... why were out by yourself?"

He sat up a little straighter and folded his paws over one another. "I think so, yeah," he answered slowly. Pretty much everything before the last fire had been filled with that feeling, whether it came from Flintspirit or Duskfeather or any of the other warriors.

He tilted his head at Eveningmist, trying to study her face. Whatever this was, it was... important. He could tell that much. He stayed quiet for a short moment, gathering his thoughts. "I see someone who is very brave," he began, "and very kind, and also so, so stubborn. But I also see a friend, and some who I would lay down every single one of my lives for."

As he spoke, his gaze flickered over Eveningmist's expression, trying to take in everything.

"Hey, Rainingpaw." Buckstar flashed the apprentice a grin as he entered. "Yeah, of course! We can head out right now, if you want."

Linnetwing's voice pulled him from sleep, and he sat up with a yawn. He blinked blearily at her for a moment, trying to register her words, before mumbling a tired, "Thank you."

He pulled it closer with a forepaw and bent down to take a bite, but paused and glanced back up at Linnetwing. "Sorry, uh- did you want some, too?"

He had to stifle a groan as he lifted his head to blink at Rainywhisker. Oh boy, if there was another sign or vision, he was going to scream. He didn't have the mental capacity to deal with something like that at the present moment.

Inhaling heavily through his nose, he shifted his his nest and angled his ears toward Rainywhisker. "What's up?"

He glanced up from rearranging his nest for what felt like the eight-hundredth time that day, and held back a laugh at the kit's sudden appearance. "Once you're ready," he promised. "You have to be old enough - once you are, that's when I'll get your ceremony done."

He lifted his head. "Yep, that's me. What can I help you with?"

"That would be great!" raingingpaw exclaimed

Smokepaw nodded, taking into account the she-cat's heightened stress, and attempted to compensate. "Hey," he spoke in a calm, even tone to try and stimulate the same neurons that would have been stimulated during kit hood when a mother was speaking, "I'm really excited to learn." he waved his tail and a slow sweeping pattern, the only thing fast about him was his left ear flicking.

The dark grey apprentice burst out of the apprentice den and into the clearing, not paying any attention to where she was running. A smile spread across her maw, but soon disappeared- she was about to run into another cat!!!! [ @Zero]
