Montag's mismatched eyes widened subtly, then relaxed entirely, rolling broad shoulders beneath his feathery pelt as he looked the newcomer up and down, a subtle smirk revealing unnaturally extended incisors.

This cat seemed interesting--perhaps interesting enough to earn his keep.
"Well, I rather prefer to rip them off of birds, revealing the meat beneath. The same can be said for scales, skin...fur." he mused, tilting his head contemplatively.
"You are a rather bold one, aren't you?"

“Yes. Feathers, I say,” Orpheus nodded, watching the other cat with intrigue.

“That ... sounds exhausting? There’s a lotta feathers. That’d take some time. And effort. I admire your.. patience.” Orpheus mumbled, trying not to seem as taken aback as he was. He was choosing not to comment about the fur thing as to not risk his own fur being ripped off — he liked having his fur on, thank you very much.

“Do you think you’d look good in feathers? Or- er, one feather?” He bet he could find somewhere to put the feather where it wouldn’t fall and would still look okay… maybe. It would look best on yours truly, but he bet this cat could rock a feather too.

Bold? He supposed. Actually, now that he thought about it, bold seemed to fit him. “That’s me!” He paused. “You’re pretty…” —scary was the first word to come to mind— “unique.”

Marigold laughed. They were so friendly, even when they were in a bad situation. She liked that about them.

Lily licked hurt wounded leg. The wound was deep and it was still bleeding. "Do you have any cobwebs?" She asked, limping to them.

Pit let out a rumbling purr, before listening to Nala as she explained what he needed to do. His own voice was fairly chipper as he mewed I've got the supplies for the new den now though! At least most of them. He still needed bedding and some covering, but the frame could be completed the next day. I should have it finished in another day or two, certainly if Tiny helps me. He was sure she would, and while she might not be able to reach the roof bit she would be quite helpful with the bottom he was sure. Touching his nose to Nalas quickly, he added I understand. More cats will keep us safe though. If we have lots of friends, no one will be able to hurt us. That was the last thing he wanted. Turning quickly, he called quietly to Tiny Want to learn how to build a den? I bet you'll be great at it! before seizing a few sticks in his maw.

MORE cats? Tiny wasn't sure why her dad had this infatuation with bringing more and more strays to live with them, but it was beginning to get on her nerves. As she hopped out of the barrel to help him with the den, she waited until Nala had ducked back inside before hissing softly Why are you bringing so many cats to live near us? Aren't me and Nala and the kits enough?

Pit hadn't expected the anger from Tiny, but it was somewhat understandable. As he raised one and then another branch into position, he mewed slowly You are enough. You're everything. But I can't protect you all. More cats will keep us safe, in case other cats or predators try and attack us. I'm trying to do this for you. He knew it wasn't entirely adequate, that it might not be what she wanted to hear, but it was what he had.

Huh. He actually had a reason that sounded somewhat plausible and not like a total lie. Tiny wasn't going to accept the answer that easily though. How come they're sleeping with us? It's getting all cramped and stuff! You don't us to be safe and unhappy, do you? Still, she was at least less angry and propped as stick up against the ones Pit was already holding. After a moment of shifting it side to side, they balanced and they were able to step back.

Of COURSE I want you to be happy! Pit mewed, taking a few of the smaller sticks and vines and beginning to weave them into the frame of the sticks, careful not to knock it over. Until this den is done I won't do anything else, and when it is they can move in here. We'll have our den, and everyone else will have theirs. he mewed calmly, continuing to weave bits of twig into the frame.

The answer was satisfactory, and Tiny helped Pit weave things into the frame until it was dark. Scampering towards the barrel, she attempted to get into a good spot.

Pit remained outside. He laid down last, right at the edge, just in case a predator or cat should come along. They would have to hunt tomorrow, leafbare and lots of kittens were not a good recipe, and he didn't want to leave the kits and Nala alone. He was fairly certain Tiny would be willing to stay and keep working on the den. He figured she'd want to get it done as soon as possible. @~dust~

Marsh shook his head, but Leaf climbed up the tree before dropping a twig covered in cobwebs. He jumped down and pushed it toward Lily.

Marsh's face lit up when he heard Lily say she spies on the clans. Leaf's did too, and the two brothers exchanged a knowing glance. "You didn't happen to see a short, tan tabby cat in Windclan, did you? Her name is Miststone." Leaf said hopefully.
