excitedly wiggling around the reeds as him and beanpaw worked on making that hole in the den, dayheart got sidetracked for a minute while playing with a reed, giving it a few pokes and bends and everything in between before continuing to try to wiggle the reeds out. it seemed like beanpaw was doing a pretty great job!! "nice nice nice! nicely done! job well done! great job! you could totally be, like, an expert den-take-reeds-outter. er, like, den-expander? den-destroyer-so-you-can-be-a-den-expander? eh! whatever it'd be called, you'd be pretty good at it! unless you don't wanna be good! i'm sorry! but i assume you'd wanna be good at it! but also i shouldn't make assumptions!! ackk!!" dayheart mumbled as he took one last reed out, being very cautious about it. "aaaaaaand.. we're done! well, not like, done done, but we have a nice hole in the middle of the den! y'think so? it looks pretty good to me! now we just gotta get set to work on... building the actual thing! we totally got this. if we made it this far we must be doin' something right!! actually, i think we're doing multiple things right! don't you agree? not to brag for us or anything, though! but we're doing good! which is good for the rest of you apprentices so the den doesn't crash down and crush all of you while you're sleeping -- which it definitely will not do!"

"you wanna start building? let's go for it!" and with that, dayheart started positioning a reed for a nice new wall.

The young molly's cheeks reddened a bit at the comment, and before she knew it Hazelpaw could feel a crooked smirk begin to make its way onto her lips.

"You're, like, excruciatingly bad at this, y'know?" she grinned, and before long a trill of purring broke out from within the back of her throat. "But, I suppose I could give you a break from all those petty insults you receive every day, now couldn't I?"

"Sure is" - Hazelpaw lifted a neat brown forepaw to her maw in a preparation to cleanse it - "I guess." After a few brief seconds of leisurely licking off the grime that had gathered upon her paw, Hazelpaw cocked her head to the side, nose convulsing. "So uhm... Why... exactly... are you trying so hard to flirt with me, eh Blizzardboy?"

Well, no point in waiting any longer. Sparrowskip made his way to the apprentice den in the early morning. Looking for the orange tabby, he made his way through the crowd of apprentices. Wow, i never noticed how many apprentices there are... He found Silentpaw and walked over to him and shook him a bit. "Silentpaw, wake up! Its time for training!"
