Reedwhisker proudly led Stealthpaw out of camp, unable to contain his excitement. He straightened his face and meowed in a serious tone.

"Apprentice Stealthpaw. The time has arrived for you to complete your final asessment. Splashfury and I will be assessing." he glanced gratefully at Splashfury, fur still buzzing after the previous night. He quickly re-set his poker face and stared at his apprentice. "The task is to catch as much prey before sunhigh. You may not see us but we will be watching every single movement you make."

Stealthpaw smiled large enough to fit another cat in, her day had finally come! "What if I fail?" Stealthpaw asked, nervous edging the words. Her tail-tip twitched, she was unable to contain her energy.

Splashfury grinned at Reedwhisker who she kept thinking how handsome he was while trying to maintain a poker face like him. She nodded at his empathize on watching Steathpaw’s every movements. The task seemed fair enough since she didn’t think that there was problem with the nice season today. “Failure is a stepping stone to learning what you did wrong. For now, focus on the positive and with a mentor like Reedwhisker.. you will be fine!” she smiled at the to be warrior.

“Aaare you ooopen ttto tttteachinggg bbattle moves?” Silentpaw asked as he thought about how to repay the warrior. They were so generous that he could not avoid such thoughts. Maybe he could help make sure that the warrior den was in tip top condition every single week while changing out her bedding and stuff or something like that. Silentpaw hoped to learn more about her liked and dislikes by the end of the session.

As they reached the river, Quailsnap sat beside it, turning his face towards where he could smell and hear the water, feel it moving and sloshing around against the bank below him. Flicking his ears slightly, Quailsnap stared down at the smudged blue blob of color that signified the river below, tail-tip twitching. "I don't even know how to begin to try this." He meowed, starting to feel a little defeated, like he did every other time he tried fishing with his blindness.

Flyfur had no idea how to help with guiding him how to hunt blind, but she could try. If she knew he could see dark smears of colour, this would be less awkward for Flyfur.
"What can you hear? The river is bubbling and flowing, a soft and soothing sounds. When I fish starts coming by, if you pay attention, you can hear the disturbance of the flow, parts of the water may expand or break to the surface as the fish swims by."
She hoped it made sense and that it helped him. If he wanted, she could always tell him when one was in striking distance.

"Don't worry you'll do great." he purred, squinting to look at the rising sun. "Better get a move on now!"

With a wave of his tail, he walked away into some undergrowth. He felt his fur tingle as he brushed past Splashfury. What was that? Ignoring it, he positioned himself behind some ferns, safely out of Stealthpaw's sight. He was excited to see her hunt on her own.

Stealthpaw nodded, shaking from excitement, she started walking forward. Sniffing the air, she caught scent of a mouse a couple of fox-lengths away, creeping forward slowly she could see the mouse now, and pounced! She landed ontop of her mouse and quickly bit it's neck to kill it. After it went limp, she dug a shallow hole, and buried it until she could come back to collect it. Coming upon a small stream, she paused, and flicked a fish out for good measure. Two kills already! Stealthpaw thought, I don't think I'm gonna fail!

Reedwhisker blinked at Splashfury, eyes bright with pride as he watched Stealthpaw make the two swift kills.

"She's doing well!" he whispered, before slinking through some cat-tails to keep up with his apprentice. He noticed how alert she was and her organisation as she buried the mouse. The weather was perfect too: the skies were clear and he could watch her from afar.

Splashfury purred softly as Stealthpaw was already done catching 2 pieces of prey already. "She is doing quite well. Probably with a great mentor like you pretty good at hunting would probably make her catch more than the size of me." she joked through a whisper. It was like back at her apprentice age where they would watch the mentors while trying not to crack jokes about it even though they shouldn't be cracking jokes.
