He limped into camp, one eye closed from the cold, the other wide open in anger. He glanced around, eyeing his clanmates. "Shadestorm!" He shouted, a bit too loud for his liking. A bit more calmly, he met the deputy's eye. "There was a coyote by the border of Riverclan. Me and Robinleaf," He meowed, nodding to his companion. "Were able to fend it off. It's dead, rotting somewhere, just letting you know. Honeyspring, on the other hand, didn't attend the patrol. I saw them at camp, but when we left, Honeyspring was no where to be found." He scanned the clearing, grunting when he saw nothing. He turned back to Shadestorm. "Oh, I'm sorry were late. My fault, punish me as needed. Robinleaf did nothing wrong. We also marked the border." He finished, letting out a shaky breath from the cold. Honeyspring, you're lucky I'm not the leader of this clan... He thought bitterly, ignoring the stinging pain from his wounds from the fight.

He hoped his grandson wouldn't be harsh on Robinleaf, Honeyspring he didn't mind, just not Robinleaf. Robinleaf didn't seem to like him the first few moments of the patrol, but she proved herself in battle fairly well. He licked his paw and drew it over his face, cleaning up the grit and blood that lingered on it. He looked at Robinleaf. "Why don't you head over to Bounceberry? Those don't look pretty." He meowed, flicking out a claw to point to the gashes along her sides. They weren't too deep, but leaving them on her unattended wouldn't help.

There, she could see Rookscreech standing a bit away, looking.... uneasy? Yes, she could see it more and more clearly as she came closer. The fresh warrior didn't seem to be the most comfortable in a leading position, or had they simply not quite heard Shadestorm and was uncertain what to do. Well, she wasn't gonna make them suffer.

With calm movements the large molly padded up to them and dipped their head in greeting. The were about to do so to Pigeon paw as well, but when she turned to look for him he was nowhere to be found. A slight frown came over her face but she quickly smoothed her facial muscles and turned back to the other warrior. "Pigeonpaw seems to be making themselves scares, so I suppose we'll go ahead and start, they can follow if they do show up. " Next she turned towards the forest and was just about to nod to the other warrior, the leader of this patrol to lead the way, but made the choice to do that herself, if Rookscreech really didn't want to lead they would follow, and if they wanted to they would push ahead, their choice.

Badgersight heard his name, he was leading another patrol? He sighed heavily, his vision was only getting worse. He couldn't admit that though, he was sure it could get him killed. The black tabby tom hummed in thought as he looked around camp, he noted Mistlegaze's position and made his way over to her "Hello" he said quietly, bowing his head in greeting.

”Hmm...”Mistlegaze tilted her head. “The other cat may not show, maybe we should just go ahead and leave?”

Rookscreech entered camp, mentally sighing that this social experience was mostly ver. Now came a rather awkward part, though. She'd been on patrol before but, having never led one, wasn't exactly sure how reporting worked. Her slim amber eyes scanned the clearing for the deputy. Finally she found him and sighed audibly. Time for awkward-fest.
"Um, uh, I'm back. We finished our patrol. The border is marked and stuff. We did encounter a dog but it was with a twoleg that was holding it back on some long tendril. So it was probably the dog equivalent of a kittypet and the twoleg didn't wanna engage us so it just held the dog back and passed. So, um, there weren't any problems, mostly." her voice sounded annoyed more than anything.

Carrying two voles in her jaws, Mistlegaze entered the ShadowClan camp, going to the fresh-kill pile and setting the prey down before scanning the area for Shadestorm. Upon spotting the deputy, the molly padded over to him, politely dipping her head as she gave the report. “Greetings. My hunting patrol managed to catch a few pieces of prey, but it was definitely scarce. Also, Puffinpaw did not show up for the patrol. Badgersight showed up to the patrol area but could not be found once I actually left.”

[PATROLS ARE DUE JANUARY 7TH]
[when reporting do not wait for a response from me with Shadestorm, just give the report. I probably won't have him respond unless it's something more important.

Patrol leader who fail to report and warriors who don't show up might be punished by Dawnstar (unless you have an OOC excuse before the due date or request extra time)]

Quickly the large tabby leaped up to announce the patrols. He had almost forgotten them after the other things on his mind, Blossomflame's and his kits, Ivypaw's training, plus having to watch his back to look out for cats Dawnstar might choose to replace him with. He didn't trust her to let him stay in the rank for all that long, only having him as a placeholder until she found someone she liked, because she sure didn't like him. Who would it be? When would she announce it? It irritated him endlessly not to be able to trust her in the same way anymore, and it was the only thing he didn't enjoy about being deputy, that and how differently others treated him, either hating him or just wanting to be around him for his rank. Anyway, patrols.

[Prompt: A fox cub... it's very weak and helpless... so where is it's mother? ]
" Bagderscar [ @NinjaBloss ], you'll take Owlfeather [ @Hopeless ] to check on Thunderclan" Just two cats instead of three? Yes, he didn't like putting the same cats on patrol all the time, and therefore tried to vary what cats he placed on patrols, and he wanted to save some cats every now and then encase he needed to send more cats on another patrol. Besides, other clans had patrols with just two cats on them, Shadowclan was the strongest, so they could afford smaller patrol every now and then, and maybe the two cats would feel more responsibility if it was just the two.

[Prompt: There's the twoleg again! Though it doesn't have it's dog with it, and is just walking with odd things in it's ears, it doesn't seem to even notice you]
" Splotchleaf [ @Nixey ] , take Addersnow [ @Jackpot ] and Chamomilepaw [ @littlelove ] to Riverclan. Both a coyote and twoleg with it's dog have spotted there on the last patrol, watch out for that."

Then the hunting patrols. Usually he didn't specify where the patrols should go to find prey, but there were two places where few had been hunting in a while, and with leafbare here he wanted to make sure

@Toodle ] you couldn't bother showing up last time, perhaps you could do so now at least." His voice was slightly sarcastic as he called out the apprentice for not showing up for their patrol.

The tom as surprised to lead a patrol, even if it was for hunting. He called out for his companions. "Shadowpaw ( @Phantomtame) Lilacpaw ( @Clock Dragonshifter)." he decided to wait so they had to move their tails.

Another patrol? Really? A sigh left the slim she-cat, but she still went over. A glare directed towards Shadestorm in passing, but nothing more than that. It couldn't be helped, she assumed. Being bossed around was always something she hated, but right now she could tell it wouldn't be wise to ignore these types of things. Granted, Grimhound apparently had and got off scot free outside of a few little cuts and nicks here and there, but from what he had told her he also had grow to almost a voice of power among the clan.

With no sign of Splotchwhatever or her apprentice, Addersnow was already contemplatingjust going and getting it done by herself. That would certainly be a lot more enjoyablethan having to deal with two other cats.

Pigeonpaw ran to thenpatrol place as she overheard her name called out by Shadestorm, to be followed shortly by a rebuke. She slowed, putting her head down shamefully. She wasn't sure what had happened at the last patrols. She hadn't heard her name called and hadn't thought anything of it until she heard talk of her having not showed, by then her patrol had already left and she couldn't find them. She picked her head back up, Shadestorm clearly wasn't looking for excuses so she resolved to simply not let him and Shadowclan down again, ever again. She sat down impatiently and kept her eyes diligently peeled for her other patrol mates.

It was a disappointment to leave with so little prey, but the sun was dipping beneath the sky, and she didn't want to be late. She gestured to Buzzardpaw and Spiderwebpaw to start walking back without her. Digging up her blackbird, she began to walk towards the pair of apprentices, only to be distracted by the shape of a rabbit nibbling at the roots of tree. Genuinely, she hadn't been expecting to see one of those, no matter how close it was to Windclan, but this was a stroke of luck. Setting down the blackbird gently, she padded closer, staying downwind and crouched close to the ground. Her small tabby frame leapt for it, and managed to pin it down, breathing heavily, she snapped it's neck. With a quick prayer, she lifted it up, and grabbing her blackbird, ran to join the others.

The walk back was surprisingly quiet, considering the way Spiderwebpaw usually spoke. Padding up to Shadestorm, she dropped the bird and rabbit and looked up at him. "Prey was running well at the Sky Glade, we may want to hunt there more often. It seems like some of Windclan's rabbits are sheltering from the cold" Lowering her voice, she leaned forward. "You may want to speak with Spiderwebpaw's mentor about his hunting skills. They aren't bad, exactly, he just got to disappointed about missing his catch." It was a silly request, but he had began to grow on her, and she didn't want him to feel so let down about such a little thing. Falconfeather looked up at Shadestorm, nodded, and took her leave, padding into her den as the last rays of the sun set behind her.
