Silverpaw shifted her weight for a moment, ocean gaze glazed over in thoughtfulness as she pondered a response to Echopaw's words. "Hmm, it may be a little challenging to hunt in the territory after that storm," She spoke aloud, not putting the idea down just yet, "But it could also be fun." She went quiet once more, trying her best to think of something more entertaining, but still safer, than hunting for themselves. As apprentices she knew that it wasn't very wise to stray off into the territory without a warrior to accompany them, but she also knew many other apprentices did it and they were never scolded for it. So surely it would be fine for her and Echopaw to do it. "I suppose hunting will do," The she-cat spoke softly, a tinge of excitement within her voice, as she rose to her paws and padded out a few steps in front of Echopaw. She stopped and cast her gaze behind her and onto her friend, beckoning her to return to Silverpaw's side.

"Great!" Echopaw bounded to Silverpaw's side. She was kind of hoping her friend would choose to go hunting. She wanted to the challenge to find as much prey as she could get after the storm, and she loved a challenge! "Where should we go first?" the black apprenticed trotted slightly ahead of her friend, turning back just outside the entrance. Echopaw thought she was an OK hunter, not the best but not the worst. She remembered her disaster hunt earlier that morning on dawn patrol, and shook her head, trying to forget it. Jumping over a black bird! She almost laughed at how silly it must have looked. What a mouse-brain!

Quailears yawned in the low light of early morning, his tail waving around in the air as he rose, his short legs stretching out as he took the first steps out of his nest. He plopped down beside his nest, smacking his lips a couple of times, before licking a paw, and drawing it over his ear.

Quailears yawned in the low light of early morning, his tail waving around in the air as he rose, his short legs stretching out as he took the first steps out of his nest. He plopped down beside his nest, smacking his lips a couple of times, before licking a paw, and drawing it over his ear.

Snowdust had been long awake by this time, but that did not stop the train of yawns that had followed. She shook out her white fur from the rest of the scraps her nest had left. Her green eyes flicked around the den, seeing only a few others awake, among those, her best friend Quailears.

Shardsong padded into the clearing looking for a vole from the fresh-kill pile. He found one and picked it up in his maw. He looked around the clearing finding a quiet place to settle down and eat. He loved the green-leaf smell.

He cast his orange gaze around the den, and his eyes landed on his old apprentice, and good friend, Snowdust. He smiled, and padded across the den over to her. "Hello." He said softly, his eyes lit up.

Yes, she had been given her warrior name not to long ago, but it was still too close of a time-span to not think she did something wrong when he was near. Getting up, and shaking her fur to look calm, she walked over. "Hey Shardsong."

“Hello Snowdust.” He said kindly. “It’s a beautiful green-leaf isn’t it?” He asked the she-cat. She was his favorite cat to talk to.” Did I scare you?” He asked settling down. He knew he could scare her sometimes. He felt the cool breeze on his face.

Scathemouth lounged on the side of the clearing, sprawled out among the shadows, his strange amber eyes half lidded. he silently scanned the clearing.
