Marigoldkit heard her words, but didn't quite understand it. She let out a purr, burying her head in Windypetal's belly fur. Marigoldkit wanted to open her eyes, but since she was so young she couldn't.

Windypetal purred with Marigoldkit, so much she was sure she could see the frail kit shaking. Her whiskers twitched in amusement, close to Marigoldkit's head, so it tickled her fluffy little ears. She rapped her tail around her, so the kit stayed warm as she lied down with Marigoldkit still safe in the curve of her stomach.

Marigoldkit kept purring as she slowly drifted off into sleep, but soon After her eyes opened up halfway then shut almost instantly. She felt her heart beat in her chest, but it was slow and steady just like it should be.

Windypetal saw her eyes open halfway and almost jumped, but instead, flinched with surprise. "Honey, little one, I need you to look at me." she ordered softly but firmly. "I want to see your eyes."

Marigoldkit slowly opened her eyes wide, showing her forest green eyes. She saw Windypetal for the first time. She looked into her foster mothers eyes, letting out a tiny mew. Marigoldkit let out a purr. @ Ombre Party;

Cherrydawn had never felt so exhausted, or so happy. Three healthy kits rested curled up against her belly. Perfect little puff balls. The ginger and white shekit licked the smallest one on the top of his tiny, calico head. "Smallkit's the perfect name for you," the shecat whispered tenderly. "You may be small now, but you'll do big things one day." A rustle of bracken caught the queen's ear as her mate entered the den. She greeted him with a warm smile. "Come see your kits, Skyfeather. They're so beautiful."

Windypetal let out a purr of delight as she saw her kits forest green eyes looking up at hers. "Oh, your so pretty." She half purred half giggled. "I'm so glad I can call you mine."
