Fogpaw scented Lionstar and turned around. He didn't know if he was talking to him or not with him being deaf. He had turned around in enough time to catch what he was saying. No wonder why his mentor hasn't asked him to do some training. The tom dipped his head. Fogpaw didn't mind the change. He was used to it. "I'll make sure to talk to you if I ever need anything.", he replied with his slow speech.

The young white tom scanned the clearing with his blue eyes to spot his new mentor. Maybe they could go do something? Fogpaw didn't want to behind on his training. He wanted to show everyone that he was not as lazy as Fennelheart is.

Honeywhisker lifted her head. "An apprentice eh? Haven't had one of those in some time." She got up and looked for her apprentice. Fogpaw wasn't it? She thought. She spotted him and walked up to him and bumped noses. "Hello Fogpaw." She rasped. "Don't think I'll be going easy on you with this training..."

Lotuskit silently observed the clearing. She usually tried to keep close to the nursery, but her recent talk with Gingerkit had boosted her confidence. She really wanted to talk to some of the cats and learn new stuff.

Fogpaw watched his mentor walk up to him and press her nose on his. The tom looked at her when she spoke so that he could read her lips. "I don't need you to go easy on me.", he replied with a challenging smile. Fogpaw couldn't wait to start training. He was just so excited. Would they be doing something today?

"Yes. But life in the clan goes on... Oh, who am I kidding. I should go look for her at some point." She looked over at Asterpaw. "But not while I'm training you. We'll start right away-what have you done so far? We'll build off there, and If you haven't done anything, I guess we'll start from the beginning."

Lionstar wasn't terribly surprised to see Cedarbug in the middle of the clearing. He was like everyone else who went missing-- full of excuses as to why he abandoned the Clan.

"I'll take it you want to rejoin. Tell me, Cedarbug.. what is it? Did you chase a bug into the outskirts and get lost?"

Cedarbug pinned his ears a little bit, unable to hide his shame before Lionstar. He took a small breath. "I do wish to rejoin, I'm ready to prove to everyone I'm not such a kit anymore," the tom spoke. "I left because of stress and regret it because everyone else in the clan is stressed out too. That was selfish and I'm ready to provide again," he finished, his eyes searching Lionstar's, looking for some reaction.

The orange tom bounded over to his leader, head and tail held high. "Yes, Lionstar?"

As he was assigned another mentor he grinned. He remembered Lightstreak from when he was an orphaned kitten bounding around the clan meeting, looking for mischeif.

"We've worked on defensive manuevers. I've only had one official training session, but me and my friends have been working on speed." He grinned, looking immensely proud of himself. "I'm pretty fast."

Tinykit ran around the clearing. She wished she had someone to play with. if I had any littermate, they could play with me.. she never had any littermates, and got sad quickly. She hadn't met any other kits, so she got bored easyliy

"Alright, then. We'll go out to the training island, and you'll have to show me how fast you really are. We'll also have to work on hunting, so I'll introduce you to that if the occasion arises on the way there or back."
