"Soon! I'm very excited," they told her. "I'm Lampreykit, by the way. Sorry I've probably heard your name before, I'm just bad with 'em," they admitted.

"Me nither, I'm Foxpaw, I was just apprenticed. My mentor is Sootflare, who do you want to be your mentor?" she asked, this was actually an interesting conversation.

They thought for a moment about it, eventually just shrugging. "I wish Koistream would mentor me, but I don't think kin can mentor kin." Which left them out of a lot of options, given a lot of cats in RiverClan were their family. Lionstar himself included.

"That sucks, I guess that's one perk of having no family, anyone can mentor me." Foxpaw shrugged, it really didn't bother her, she had Sootflare and Sugarapple and that was enough.

"I'm actually ok with it." Foxpaw said with a smile, "I just have way more time on my hands than anyone else would, which I can use to better my clan, or laugh at a kit with bug juice on their paws."
@Salt she rlly don't care. I just didn't know enough to find parents and now its apart of her personality oop

"Well I'm just glad I've got family. Sorry you don't got any," they told her. Lampreykit gazed with them with sympathy but the feeling passed when she told them that she was okay with it. "Now help me get this stuff of my paws," the pale kitten said with authority.

Foxpaw laughed before picking up the kit and bringing her to a small stream. “Scrub, no one here wants to eat bug.” she said with a small chuckle.

Lampreykit was surprised an apprentice could pick up a cat almost the size of themselves. But they didn't question it, it must be all that warrior training. Reaching out with a tentative paw, they dipped their bug-juiced pawpad into the stream.
