Fawnspring he/him/they/them
Having just returned late from a walk to a clan meeting was surprisingly odd in way that confused him as everyone was staring at a familiar golden furred warrior. Had that stupid fur-ball done something once again… picking up his pace he trotted cluelessly into the small argument. Upon what he had just heard from approaching lion had definitely done something horrible…but who in their right mind should ever give him a apprentice didn’t anyone care about his feelings? But glancing at the apprentice pondpaw and then at the gathering crowd anger and annoyance began to fill him.

you IDIOT I was gone less than a hour and your already causing trouble?! Must I always keep watch over you and your petty attitude! You need to pull your head outta your ass! The world isn’t made of happy rainbows and emotionless cats! We all have feelings and speaking to a apprentice like that is low…so low it makes me disgusted
his brown fur was spiked and anger burned in his beep blue eyes. Shimmeringbirds right you need to watch yourself. And shimmeringbird thank you for addressing this stupid kit that calls himself a warrior. even if he seamed like a small kit compared to lionhearts massive size he still held authority over him. Turning he noticed wormbite and nodded towards him, his voice softened as well did his gaze now from what it looks like there are new apprentice’s in Riverclan congratulations to you all and I wish you luck in your training turning he made his way over to icekit and crouched down beside him good job confronting him like that. I can tell your going to be an amazing warrior one day

~ Icekit ~

[ @NinjaBloss ]
His ears pricked as Shimmerbird two addressed Lionheart for the way he had spoken to Pondpaw, though one of Icekit's eyebrows rose slightly when he picked up on the anger in her voice. Was Lionheart had done wasn't right, but getting riled up wouldn't help anyone either, situations like these needed to be treated and handled calmly, if one party started acting up or raising their voice, the other might follow, and they would end up with a shouting match over the mater, something Icekit and he was sure many others didn't have the energy for. He didn't speak up once more, it wasn't necessary, but he did shoot a look towards Shimmerbird, and raised the tip of his tail in the slightest gesture to tell her to calm herself down a notch.

Kestrelstar was next to speak, and the silver-blue tabby wasn't surprised that another warrior lost their apprentice mere moments after getting them because they could behave even in front of the whole clan. The fact that Shimmerbird was reassigned as Pondpaw's mentor wasn't surprising either, he just hoped no more dumb drama would come of any of this. And at least Lionheart seemed to realize his mistakes after the backlash and punishment, so with a little bit of luck that cat would not be a problem any longer.

[ @Quackers ]
Something else that made Icekit stiffen slightly was when a white and ginger cat came storming in like a hurricane. Fawnspring was the cat, and he hadn't seen much of them, but would that change now? He hoped not. But there came the verbal stormwinds that get the tabby to bend his ears back slightly, partly because of the noise, partly out of displeasure in the no-calm attitude. It seemed, from how they talked, that Fawnspring and Lionheart knew each other in some way. Siblings maybe, friends? He had a hard time being both, the two seemed - from the little bit of their personality Icekit was witness to here - nothing alike, one more quiet but rude and one loud, but who looked they cared about other cats somewhat. Next Fawnspring crouched down in front of Icekit - something that made him lean back slightly at the discomfort of being too near cats he didn't know well enough. But he blinked slowly and gave a slight nod in a sense of mild gratitude as they said they thought Icekit would become 'an amazing warrior' in their words. "Thank you." It was a mere act of politeness before Icekit looked back towards his leader, hoping the mess of everything was over, and they would all return to the regular meeting.

Shimmerbird blinked as Fawnspring came storming over to also tell off Lionheart and slipped to the side to allow him to take the spotlight instead of her. She didn't notice Icekit, her gaze not looking down to his level (not that she would have paid attention either way, he was only a kit, and she was perfectly calm and in control. She hadn't even raised her voice), and turned towards Pondpaw to make sure they were alright.

Mid turn she barely managed not to jump ten feet in the air at Wormbite right behind her glaring, although she did flinch horribly. Why was he looking like that, and was it at her? HAD SHE DONE SOMETHING WRONG AND THE SHIELD WAS MAD??? StarClan, why had the molly thought it was a good idea to get involved and draw attention to herself. She wished for nothing more than to be able to curl up in a hole in a hide at this very moment, but she couldn't do that to Pondpaw.

@Quackers @x ghostie @Hopeless [for the Icekit mention] @Angelique [sorry for so many mentions ]

RiverClan Re: RiverClan Streamstone

☁ Cloudpaw (she/her) ☁

➢ As the small black-and-white shekit blinked up at Kestrelstar, her ears twitched to his words.“Cloudpaw?” She thought, not expecting to be given a new name, but not really being against it either. Maybe it was a good thing to not be associated with the name Cloverkit anymore. It was the name her mama, Swansong, had given to her the moment she was born, but the shecat was nowhere to be seen - none of them were. Cloudpaw somewhat viewed it as a new chapter in her journey, a new name meant a new life. It was time for her to move on from her nursery moons because obviously the cats that she had called her family and friends did not care about her - otherwise they would be here at her ceremony. She didn’t know that there was already a Cloverpaw in Riverclan, but perhaps it was a blessing in disguise. It felt wrong to think about her family and her close friends in such a bitter way, but Cloudpaw was too hurt by them not being here for her now to dwell on that too much.

She listened to Kestrelstar list off the names of the other apprentices as he gave them mentors, keeping her name as the last one. What the clan leader said next made her eyes widen in surprise. What? He was her mentor? The leader of Riverclan was Cloudpaw’s teacher? She didn’t know how to react at first, too shocked and… excited. A smile soon came to her face. Maybe this apprentice ceremony wasn’t all bad. She had dreamed of making her mamas proud, becoming a strong and brilliant warrior. Now, she could do just that, but instead, aiming to make her mentor, Kestrelstar, proud in place of her absent parents. “Yes, K-Kestrelstar!” She mewed, staring back up at him with a brighter, more determined smile. It was only the beginning, but Cloudpaw held his words close, silently promising the clan leader that she would take this very seriously and work harder than any other apprentice in all of Riverclan. Despite not hearing her family behind her, the chants of Riverclan cats sounded behind her, calling out her new name among the other apprentices as she beamed proudly.

Listening to the gray-furred tomcat reassign some apprentices to new mentors, Cloudpaw couldn’t help but feel her heart pounding in her chest. After being in the nursery for six long moons, she was so very excited to be an apprentice. This meant that she could have her own nest now, she could go out and explore more of Riverclan’s territory, she could hunt and fight and do patrols! There was so much to look forward to! Once the clan leader finished all the reassignments, Cloudpaw watched him leap down from the Streamstone and walk over to her. “I w-will d-d-do my best to m-make you proud!” She said, her stutter getting the best of her as she touched noses with Kestrelstar. The small fluffy apprentice smiled warmly, blinking up at the clan leader with her wide light blue-hued eyes. Something about the big Riverclan tomcat made her feel safe. It made her feel like she was in good paws for her apprentice moons. Watching him return to the Streamstone, Cloudpaw sat down comfortably, wrapping her tail around herself. Soon after all that stuff was done, she could hear other cats talking quite angrily towards another warrior, Lionheart, within the crowd. The black-and-white shecat chose to just stay where she was and not involve herself in any of that. She was in no place to do anything about that situation, without a doubt.

@Quackers @NinjaBloss
The oriental's glare faded away as Fawnspring stormed in, biting insults at Lionheart rightfully so. His attention was immediately diverted, ears perking up with keen interest as the warrior went off. Wormbite did his best to pinpoint where the tom stood, his eyes gleaming with warmth as he spoke. He was glad to see Fawnspring had healed and his spirit hadn't died down a bit. He shifted with his paws, nodding agreement to ignore the heat rising from his fur. Mhm, mhm, whatever he was saying he was agreeing. He listened to him comfort the kit and resisted to smile at the soft moment.

His attention diverged at the sudden gush of wind when Shimmerbird turned around to face him. Wormbite slowly turned his head to face her, cloudy eyes staring at her blankly. Uh. Huh. He wasn't suspected to be found out. He thought he was doing well at this. Slowly, hesitantly, he reached a paw up to aim to rest it on her shoulder. "..Good job, " Wormbite mewed, wow. He quickly retracted his paw if it succeeded, scooting back awkwardly.

RiverClan Re: RiverClan Streamstone

❄ Snowleap (he/them) ❄

[ @door~ | @Quackers | @x ghostie | @Memento Mori ( these are mostly just for the characters mentioned in this post, heh ) ]

➢ As the meeting continued on, the tall dark-furred shield began to relax and become much less troubled as time ticked onwards. He listened with a softened smile coming to his expression as Kestrelstar named some Riverclan kittens apprentices and gave them mentors. Though they were a tad surprised when the Riverclan leader took the young molly named Cloudpaw as his own student, but regardless, Snowleap knew she would turn out a fine warrior under the gray tomcat’s teachings. Moving on from that, his large ears twitched with interest as Kestrelstar started reassignments. His apprentice, Finpaw, had recently turned up missing, just as Hailpaw had a few moons ago. Surely Snowleap wouldn’t be given one after failing to watch over two young cats in the past? That was soon proven wrong as Snowleap was named Ryepaw’s new mentor. Oh! He remembered that young Riverclan cat from when they were all hearing a story from Brittleshore. He was also quite close with Raccoonear, the young shield’s best friend, so this seemed like a fine pairing. Hopefully, Ryepaw wouldn’t suffer the curse of being Snowleap’s apprentice and go missing. He didn’t know if his heart would be able to handle it. Before the tall oriental longhair even got a chance to stand up, here came the country-bumpkin youth bounding through the crowd towards where he was sitting with Lynxfall and Shadepaw.

Taken off-guard by his loud exclamation, the dark-furred tomcat flinched a little, but almost immediately let his body relax as he smiled warmly. “It’s quite alright, Ryepaw, you don’t have to apologize,” He meowed with a gentle, softened tone, “It’s a pleasure to be able to train you. I promise I’ll make sure you become a warrior in no time.” With that, Snowleap padded the dirt beside him with one paw to let the young apprentice know that he could sit with them for the rest of the meeting - only if Ryepaw wanted to. The tall Riverclan shield could vaguely remember his own excitement when he was an apprentice many moons ago. Snowleap was pulled away from talking with his new apprentice rather abruptly once he heard another warrior talking rather threateningly to their apprentice. He peered over at Lionheart, a massive tomcat that he wasn’t at all familiar with, barking at young Pondpaw. Being a shield, the oriental longhair was about to stand up and intervene, but Kestrelstar beat him to it, reassigning the young molly to another warrior, Shimmerbird, who had been the first one to step in. Hmph. Serves him right. Snowleap glared at Lionheart regardless of where he was sitting, among several cats who shared the same emotion. Then, to his slight surprise, in walked Fawnspring, the quiet grieving tomcat whom he had met out under a willow several sunrises ago. From what Snowleap could see, the scarred warrior had just shown up in time to see what had gone down between Lionheart and Pondpaw.

The tall long-furred shield’s eyes widened as Fawnspring immediately started to tear into Lionheart with furious words. This was not the same warrior that he had met in that peaceful meadow, though maybe it was - he had to have gotten all those scars from somewhere, right? Something about that whole confrontation made Snowleap feel weird in a way that he couldn’t explain, but he quickly averted his icy blue-hued gaze and feverishly licked his chest fur. Great Starclan, what were they thinking just then? Out of the corner of his eye, Snowleap saw one of the other shields -- Wormbite -- looking at Fawnspring. The expression within the Dark Lord’s eyes was rather different than any other emotion he had seen Wormbite display before, but it was very familiar to him, like he had seen it in another cat’s eyes. The young shield glanced at Lynxfall and then like a slap to the face, Snowleap seemed to have an epiphany. Huh. Perhaps Wormbite and him had more in common than he had originally believed. He held back an amused huff as he continued to groom his fur, hiding a slim smirk as the cogs in his brain seemed to turn silently as the clan meeting continued.

@feather lily //
➵ brindlefeather | she/(they/it)

brindlefeather was horrified to find out that they had been late to the meeting, walking into camp after a short walk in the territory. they felt even more horrified to hear that - aaa! they were getting another apprentice! and they had .. ferocity?? according to kestrelstar, it was something he was hoping(?) would be passed down to russetpaw. i mean..i guess ferocity is a good thing if kestrelstar thinks it needs to be passed down? it thought. it hoped so.

searching the crowd for russetpaw, the large torbie strolled towards her, teetering the last few steps. luckily, it had gone through this process before, so it wasn’t that bad..yet. ”hello, ru-ussetpaw!! i’ll be your mentor, just like kestrelstar said..i actually have another apprentice, spicepaw - so you might train with her..in the future, uhm..” it hadn’t started so bad, unlike last time, in their mind at least. it was going pretty good!! y’know, until it’s brain started malfunctioning and it momentarily lost the ability to properly think.

mentally groaning at that, the warrior leaned down to touch noses with the newly made apprentice. ”sorry, just had to do that, i think..- anyways! it’s too cold for swimming..if that wasn’t obvious.” they said, gesturing at the thick layers of snow that still covered the ground. ”so we can start with land hunting or battle training, since i…don’t think? you will want your paws to freeze from water hunting? either’s fine with me. but uhh. we’ll have to start after the meeting.” it murmured, letting its eyes finally fall to the ground as it sat down. hopefully that wasn’t as mentally painful for russetpaw as it was for brindlefeather.

-->Pondpaw<--
Hearing the threat loud and clear the apprentice stood there. she didn't cower down and she showed no signs of being scared. This cat was just a bully and she hated bullies. Wanting to argue with the tom she opened her mouth to speak when a warrior spoke up for her. What? She could speak up for herself. Not that she didn't appreciate it. She really did, but she was brave enough. It seemed there was enough drama for what her new mentor said, so she just let it go.

Pondpaw settled down beside Shimmerbird, keeping her head up and her emotions hidden. Flickering her ear she heard Kestrelstar speak up and reassign her to the cat that had helped her. She just gave a triumph glare to Lionheart before looking up at Shimmerbird. Looked like they were going to be training together. Pondpaw dipped her head to her new mentor., seeing she was a bit upset. "Hey its going to be alright. He dealt with that nasty warrior. Plus I'm alright!", she muttered quietly, so only she could hear. She then cast a look to Icekit with a dip of her head to show her respect. Such a young kit had earned it from her.

It was certainly strange that Saltpaw's gaze seemed to have went to her mouth,instead of her general face. The brown tabby surveyed Saltpaw carefully, maybe even suspiciously, but not really in what you could call... A bad name, right? Hazelstorm hmmed, and then jumped about a foot into the air, rather alarmed as Shimmerbird's voice rose. The tabby had never heard her like that. Lifting her gaze to Kestrelstar, she thought that he'd made the right decision, well she hoped. Her green eyes swivelled over to Lionheart, scornfully. He wasn't that fit to be a mentor, was he? She felt a little pride, proud of her bestie because Shimmerbird had definitely earned her first apprentice.

She turned her attention back to Saltpaw, trying to recall what she'd said earlier before Lionheart decided (such poor decisions!) to be mean to his new apprentice. Hazelstorm vowed that Saltpaw would only have one mentor, like how she'd only had one mentor, though her one mentor did go missing not long after she became a warrior. It was a little cutting, and she had to admit she'd been a bit hurt that Duckslip hadn't bothered to stay after training her. Maybe he'd only put up with her because she'd been assigned to him.

Oh! It's very nice to meet you! Saltpaw's squeaky,yet cute little voice echoed in her brain, and she smiled fondly at Saltpaw. Maybe this apprentice could make her happier?

"It's great to meat you too," she purred, though she was unsure if Saltpaw could hear her, after seeing her apprentice seemingly trying to read her lips. "Uhh..." Hazelstorm was rather reluctant to ask her next question, in case it wasn't the reality and she offended Saltpaw. But Saltpaw could ... Read lips, right? She'd just seen her doing it, or so she thought. "Are... Are you deaf?" The tabby didn't know sign language, so she didn't try, in case she said some stupid, ridiculous statement that didn't fit in the walls of reality.
