Shade flattened her ears when she heard that he left that wound, but sighed, saying, "You had to do what you did to protect yourself, Shadepaw. Plus, I've had much worse than just this wound." Her head was still resting on him, starting to think about him a bit more, and had kept switching thoughts from her past to him.

Spottedpaw scented the air. Her ears pricked. "Mouse, there." she meowed softly, indicating where it was with a flick of her ear. "And a few squirrels over there. Fish, obviously. We are by the river, after all." Spottedpaw looked up, hoping she had impressed her mentor.
