ANNOYING! Why was this cat just ignoring her, and sitting there? Ok, now the invader was asking HER to justify herself? What kind of sick logic was that? Still, the fact that she was younger compelled Splashleap to obey, which she did, before she could catch herself. I'm walking in my territory. Realizing what she had done however, she quickly flipped it towards a threatening tone, adding angrily Where I just HAPPENED to find a TRESPASSER, who I am SUPPOSED to chase out! Which was what she would be doing very shortly if this cat didn't move. Now what are YOU doing here might I ask? @ Trouble

Sootflare unsheathed his claws to gain better purchase on the soil and soon they were close to the surface and, hopefully, the river. His paw met loose soil, sending it crumbling to the ground in front of them and letting a small beam of daylight shine into the tunnel. It was sandier here - they had to be close.
"Alright." he meowed firmly, "We stop here. We'll continue from the surface. Any further and we risk being stuck down here when the water starts flowing. Let's go."
With a swift nod of his head, he turned around and led the pair out of the tunnels and to the surface. Using his old marker for reference, he headed towards the river and soon found the small hole where the tunnel reached the surface. It was only a few tail lengths from the river bank.
"This is it. We just need to carve a channel to meet the tunnel."

Aspensky watched quietly, careful not to scare off her prey and ruin her chance at some practice. He made a mental note to practice with her on her crouch form but otherwise remained silent and let her do her thing.
[ Battle training sounds good. I can probably throw up a starter on the training island tomorrow morning. ]

She slowly stalked towards a bush, before pounding towards it. The mouse had heard her though, and escaped her.

Cottonstrike padded out of the den, glancing behind him to make sure his apprentice was following. That didn't stop him though he kept walking until he got to the river. The deaf tom stopped at the waters edge before turning to his apprentice who he hoped was eight there. "I was informed you haven't been taught to hunt, so today I'll be teaching you how to fish.", he meowed. Cottonstrike was pretty excited about this. He loved teaching how to fish. He just loved the way the water felt on his paws. It was something his mother never really liked to do.

On a really good stride on here and Barleypaw is really close to getting her post counts finished for her training. If there is anyone who needs a cat to help with anything feel free to VM or pm. I want her to be more active along her clanmates.

"That was good for your first try!" he praised, offering a smile, "Next time, try to get a little closer before you pounce so you don't have to run after them. Do you want to try again or are you ready to go home for now?"

Sorrelpaw followed along, though without much enthusiasm. Her mentors so far had been pretty lackluster and this one didn't seem to be much different just yet. Perhaps he would surprise her but so far, it didn't seem like it. Fishing was... not a great start. Robinwing had tried to teach her how to fish before but honestly, she really hadn't retained anything from that session. Not a dang thing. Maybe Cottonstrike would be a better teacher.
"Alright," she replied, waiting for him to begin the instruction.
