Slypaw let out a sigh of relief. He could see again! The blood was no longer blinding him but that brought his attention to the pain. His paw hurt really bad. He didn't remember dad hurting his paw... Then again he was temporarily blinded by the blood. He limped over to Mothflame, her promise to protect him in his mind.

Wolfpaw let out a squeak as he jumped slightly, but he didn't have to worry. A smile grew on his maw as he noticed who had materialized next to him. "Acanineheart!" he said happily. The ancient medicine cat could surely help him. And he was right. Celandine. He watched as the spirit managed to summon some of the needed herb on the spot. Wolfpaw picked up one of the Celandine, listening to the instructions aconite gave him. He nodded, sitting down before crushing the leaves in his paw to ensure he didn't fall over. He was about to do what the Starclanner had told him before realizing Slypaw was out of his reach. Annoyed, he unsteadily hobbled over with his two paws and sat down before continuing. Wolfpaw carefully removed the cobweb on Slypaw's eye, squeezing the juices in. He grabbed a new cobweb and put it around the eye, covering the wounds before backing up. Turning back to the spirit, he gave it a grateful nod. "Is there anything else I needa do?" he asked them.

"You can use cobwebs to tend to the wounds around the eye, but eyes are sensitive. The more you put on it, the more irritated it'll become.." Aconiteheart wasn't impressed by Slypaw shuffling away to approach Mothflame, not that the apprentice could see his displeasure. Hello! They were trying to heal him! Ever heard of sitting still? "That's why you just use the juice, it'll sting meaner than a bee but the eyes are used to liquid. If you put leaves in the eye, like a poultice - the eye will want to reject it, and that can cause it to become inflamed and get infected."

Overall, the eyes seemed OK. "Thankfully, this wound seems superficial and as long as they rest up and don't get anything in them in the next few days, they should heal right and he won't be blind. If it still seems irritated in a few days, I would try celandine again to see if the inflammation reduces." It SHOULD, but who knew. Eyes were a pain in the tail. "Make sure you use marigold on the scratches around his eyes, if those get infected what you do for his eyes now won't matter. Just a dab should do the trick."

Unfortunately, his time here on hell's kitchen was at an end, and he vanished completely, but not without some parting words. "Don't overthink, you got this!"

why. Wolfpaw's lips curled into a snarl as he saw dirtkit enter the den. The apology went in one ear and out the other - probably half-hearted anyway. They did call him an ass after all. "Get out," the medicine cat snarled, his words spat at dirtkit like venom. "You, will not set another paw in my den at all, am I clear? Now leave my sight," he snarled, flexing his claws in the dirt below his three feet. Stars help him not rip the older cat to shreds

Slypaw was injured further? Great StarClan, she was glad that Adderfang had rid the Clan of himself. If he hadn't, Sunflowerpaw probably would have killed the sorry excuse of a warrior herself for the things he had done to her denmate. The golden-and-cream she-cat turned back to her friend, her amber hues pools of worry.

Sunflowerpaw could see the flashes of pain on Slypaw's face, so she scooted closer to him and washed his ears with strong, soothing strokes of her tongue. ''Let Wolfpaw treat your paw, Sly. Yes, it will sting, but he's only trying to help you.''

Treetiger offered a half-hearted smile, trying her best to remain positive despite the haunting laughter in the back of her mind. I told you... I told you... Okay. Okay. A glazed look overcame her eyes and she shook her head lightly. "It's okay, really. I- I appreciate it. I'll let you know if you can help..."

"Thanks for fixin' up my leg," the Bengal would dip her head, beginning to head back towards the entrance of the den. "Let me know if ya ever needa gather herbs. I'll help you," she dipped her head and slipped away, slinking quickly to the Warriors' Den to hide the shame that was beginning to overcome her.

the brown tripod's ears flattened as treetiger spoke. they wanted to help, they really did, but apparently that made things worse. "uh, no problem," he muttered as the warrior spoke. "M sorry again," he called out as the warrior left the den. He didn't really know what he could have done, so the medic just shrugged it off, still feeling bad as he curled up in his nest.
