Falconfeather stopped and scented the air, picking up a hint of a mouse in front of them. She dropped to a crouch and paced foorward, barely skiddng over the ground. She could see it nibbling at the roots of a tree and as she sprang to get it, it ears perked up. But it was too late, she was already there.

"Nice catch!" Tigerpaw commented as Falconfeather gave the killing bite. That mouse didn't know what was coming! She secretly thought.

"Hi Oakleaf," Tigerpaw meowed as the warrior came up and dropped a mouse at his paws. "Good hunting?"

"I should hope so. Prey is running well." She nodded curtly.

[Raven~]

Tigerpaw crouched down to sniff the mouse. "The elders will love this," she commented. Then she straightened up and tried to find a mouse of her own. She really wanted to contribute something to the fresh-kill pile, but so far she had nothing. She stiffened as she caught the scent of shrew. "Falconfeather, there's a shrew over there," Tigerpaw told her, pointing with her tail. Then, with her mentor informed, she started to stalk it.
