Echopaw's white tail-tip twitched excitedly. She'd been pouncing on her den-mates since she was a kit, so she ought to get this right. She let out a barely audible growl, before leaping forward and landing, more or less, on a small pile of moss about a tail length away. The black apprentice picked it up before turning proudly to her mentor.

His tail swished against the cool sand, knocking particles onto his normally pristine coat.
"You know, the usual," He quipped, not quite looking directly at her - he could make out something blocking his vision but wasn't quite sure where her head, shoulders, or even her tail was. He spoke turned a smidge too far to the right. Not like he would know.
"Needlescar is out on patrol, so I'm stuck in camp, because I'm certainly not going to investigate the territory with tensions so high after the gathering."
He began to stand. Strange. He hadn't spoken to Silverpaw, or really anyone other than his mentor, in days, and the last time he had he was quite sure her usual companion was by her side. What was it? Egretpaw? Echopaw?
Smokepaw flicked his ear at a rustle overhead in a nearby sycamore before turning his attention back to his sister.
"What about you? No excursions with Echopaw today?"

Sprucetail walked into the den “Hello? Daydream?” She said through clenched jaws. Her brown ear had a gash in it it was bleeding a bit there was a dent where a claw pierced through it. Her tail twitched not impatiently just too distract from the pain.
the scarlet blood was hard too notice in her tabby fur, it had started too drip down the side of her face it was clear a cat had done it. She sat down a tail length in front of the entrance waiting for the medicine cat too emerge from the den.
