Koistream stretched out as he wriggled to his paws, strolling over with a casual air around him. "Maybe having an apprentice whose actually around will be a good thing. Napping and hunting all day is fun but gets a little repetitive," Koistream chuckled, bopping his nose against Fogpaws.

Fogpaw scented Lionstar and immediately looked up at him. Even if he wasn't talking to him he would look over to him in case he did. The young deaf tom looked at his new mentor and felt him bop him on the nose. He returned it. "Oh I'll be active I promise.", Fogpaw meowed in his slow speech.

Koistream quirked his head when he heard the slowed speech, something about the Tom took him as different. Different wasn't necessarily a bad thing but he didn't know what about him took him as different. "You alright kid?" His meow was half a chirp.

Fogpaw realized that he didn't know that he was deaf. "I'm alright. My speech is slow, because I'm deaf.", he meowed. The white tom could read lips as long as he paid attention to them. Fogpaw hoped that his deafness wouldn't get in the way.

His ears wiggled, first back and then forwards as he processed the information. "Oh," Koistream muttered, his head tilted to the side as he studied the young apprentice. "Alright! That just means I havent gotta teach you the sounds of the forest," A joke made every situation better, right?

Fogpaw read his new mentors lips as he spoke. Luckily he never took jokes seriously, so he took the joke well. "Makes things easier.", he chuckled. The white tom just starred at him with his blue eyes. He felt his chest tighten in excitement. Their conversation has gone on longer than his last mentor.

Koistream felt a little reassured. He was young, maybe a little wreckless. The thought of having an apprentice in his care who could potentially be a little more vulnerable than most made his blood race but they both had claws and teeth, they would be a brilliant team together! "Alright, Foggie, what training have ya had!'

Koistream stood with a sigh of relief, touring the territories at this point was simply boring, considering he hunted there constantly. "Yeah yeah, that's good! Let's head out towards the river and see if we can sharpen up on your swimming skills, with it flooding the land theres some decent pockets of shallow water to train you in."

Fogpaw nodded that he understood. "I love the river.", he meowed. He may be part Skyclan, but he sure did love the water. His mother hated the water, but mainly because she still had thought of herself as a skyclan cat. Fogpaw would choose being a riverclan cat over skyclan. "Let's get going.", he meowed, using his slow speech.
