"Came to visit? Or to annoy me?" Pavel asked Paige. |
"Tesler wants you back in Argon as soon as possible," she replied, deadpan as ever. "Says there's a gang causing trouble. Painting city property, tampering with local tech, pestering the Black Guard... you know, harmless things, really." She glanced around the messy lab with a wrinkled nose. "Something explode in here?"

"Only a ISO that didn't obey her master. And some dumb mechanics. I'll go, but you need to clean up what's in there." Pavel pointed behind him. He pushed Paige out of his way and got into the helicopter Paige came on. "Let's go! " He ordered the driver to go to Argon, or he'll be derezzed. Pavel was already annoyed by the mechanics and the ISO, and now Paige?! He wasn't having a good day for sure. He was going to be angry all day. If he could capture the Renegade during his trip to Argon...
"LET'S GO! NOW!"

"That's awful," Skye mumbled, the light of the scan disappearing. She was back to normal again. At least, she looked normal.

Paige slammed the door to the lab closed, and sprinted back to the chopper, not wanting to get left behind. The idea was she would be picking him up, not taking his place!

"It reveals internal injuries," Mara explained. "Without the lights, a scarred program could look completely normal. It all depends on how far the injuries are from the surface. Those wounds make it seem like..."
"She's been put back together, voxel by voxel," Zed finished her sentence. "Does... does it hurt?" He asked timidly, glancing at Skye with wide brown eyes.
"Kinda. I mean... it's pretty regular that I feel uncomfortable. I just get kind of numb after a while..."

Paige leapt onto the helicopter in a fluid motion, then signaled to the pilot to take off.
"Weren't going to leave without me, were you?" she said, tone full of sarcasm, brown-streaked hair flying in the wind.
