Soo borders.. Puffinpaw guessed that would be somewhat useful. He would have to do border patrols at some point and if it was for the glory of ShadowClan or whatever he guuessed he could do it. Puffinpaw was weird when it came to that, he did want ShadowClan to be the best clan and rise up above all the others but he didn't really think the higher ups were going about it effectively.. He was loyal to Dawnstar and admired her strength but something about her was just.. off to him Nevertheless he got super excited when Poisonpetal mentioned real training! Just what he needed! "Really?? Lets get over with then and get to that!" He exclaimed. Man, this would be great!

Poisonpetal couldn't help but raise a brow at Puffinpaw's excitement. Training wasn't ever something he himself had been excited for when he'd been an apprentice....
At least it wouldn't be a chore to convince him to actually complete his training.
He gestures for Puffinpaw to follow him before setting a brisk pace towards the ThunderClan border. It briefly crossed his mind that Puffinpaw might not be able to keep up with him for long, but pushed the thought aside. If it became a problem, he could just incorporate stamina exercises.

His pace slowed only once they neared the border before stopping completely, waiting until he caught up before speaking.
"Do you know anything about the Treehuggers of ThunderClan?"
Knowledge was just as important as claws and teeth when it came to survival, and knowing your enemy and any tactics they might use against you. He couldn't truthfully say he knew everything about every clan's tactics, and it varied from cat to cat, but there were some techniques that sometimes were widespread, if situational.

Nightfoot grunted, wordlessly, and trotted in silence for a while.

"Politics," Eldershade meowed, disgusted. "One good thing about Dawnstar, at least no one messes around with us."

Nightfoot's eyes flit around. "Be careful," he hisses. "She wouldn't- let's not talk about her, it's not safe."

“Yea-let’s not” Lilycreek agreed with Nightfoot. Talking about Dawnstar usually wasn’t good unless it was praise of her, “But yea, hopefully we’ll now more at the gathering”

"Okay, okay," Eldershade grumbled. "I swear, you two get more and more cautious all the time- wait."

She sniffed the air, and dropped into a hunter's crouch with a grin. She flicked her tail towards the deepening shadows.


"Squirrel," she said, softly. "Somewhere over there. You want to get it, Lilycreek, or shall I?


"What am I, crowfood?" Nightfoot grumbled, but otherwise didn't protest.

Nightfoot sniffed the ground for more prey scent, but after a moment looked back up at Lilycreek and offered a smile.


"So, how are you?" he asked, quietly. "I know things at camp can be-" he pondered, carefully choosing his words. "-stressful."

“I’m alright” Lilycreek meowed, “How about you?” It was more than stressful, especially with Dawnstar and the other clan’s fighting, but it would get better, right?
