Foxstorm flicked her tail. "ThunderClan and RiverClan are on the verge of an all-out war, Elmshadow. So, if a few RiverClan cats were to, say, die and ThunderClan scent beads all over the death scene.." She faced Elmshadow. "We'll start a war between the two weakest Clans, then take over one of the two. And, on top of it all, we have some offerings to give to Dawnstar. So, what do you think?"

Elmshadow contemplated quietly for long passing heartbeats. It sounded schemey and almost cowardly.

Pointedly, he asked, "What does Dawnstar think about this plan?"

Foxstorm laughed. "Oh, Elmshadow. The plan is to kill the RiverClan cats and offer their pelts to Dawnstar. Making ThunderClan and RiverClan fight are just a beautiful bounus." She paused, then added, "It probably won't work, buy whatever. It would still be fun."

Elmshadow looked away, his mind reeling. Going behind Dawnstar's back then. Elmshadow thought through the possibilities but finding very few negatives. Could Dawnstar truly be angry if we brought her Riverclan pelts?

"What's the story for how we ended up killing Riverclan cats?"

Foxstorm raised her eyebrows. "I don't understand. There's nothing wrong with my plan. I told you, the war would only be a bounus. It might not even work, if whoever is ruling ThunderClan is wise enough. And I really don't think Dawnstar will care." Why didn't Elmshadow understand?

Elmshadow nodded slowly. "How do I know I can trust you? This seems an awfully risky plan to be agreeing to with a cat I have no true reason to trust."

Foxstorm nudged him, purring. "Well, I need someone big and strong and ambitious enough, and you're the only one who can help me. I can't trust anyone else." Judging him, he probably would go for her bait, and if not, well, she would have to kill him. She couldn't let him spoil her plan to become leader of ShadowClan, now could she? @Ravensong

Elmshadow took a step backwards, putting distance between Foxstorm and himself. "Alright, hun, we can start by being honest with one another. You clearly know what I'm after and now I know what you're after. I'm not here to get played and I'm not doing your bidding."

He held her gaze rigidly. She was crazy alright and it was becoming increasingly obvious that he'd have to take a different approach than he did with most she-cats. Despite it all, though, he felt a twinge of excitement at the challenge. If she wanted to play a game then they may as well be playing the same game, it was the best way for them to both leave happy.

"I don't need much convincing to do away with some fish-eaters so you've got my support...as long as you make it worth my time."

Foxstorm unseated her claws, secretly glad that she didn't have to pretend to be in love. In her opinion, he was downright ugly."Oh, don't worry. This will be worth you're while, Elmshadow. When was the last time we had fresh RiverClan blood on our claws?"

"Alright," Elmshadow sighed, "What's your plan?"

He still didn't trust her but he decided to concede. He'd watch his back and see how this played out. At least that way he could keep a better eye on her and whatever schemes she had planned out. And at best he'd get to sink his claws into some fish-pelts.
