This skill would come in handy for whatever trouble he got himself into in the future. Even if he didn't know Ayla well enough yet to know exactly what she was thinking, he could still already read her somewhat well. However, he figured that because of her lack of knowledge of fighting, especially dirty fighting, that she'd come at him straight on. So, he braced himself, and when the she-kit froze with their gazes locked, he knew she was about to pounce.
He had no idea if she would see it, but the tiniest smirk marked his maw as she came straight at him, just as he had thought. However, her agility surprised him, she moved way quicker than he had first thought, and had to change his plans in a split second. The tom wouldn't be able to move out of the way in time, he would have to take the impact. But, in the split second before the she-kit hit him, he used one paw to scoop a pawful of sand and toss it in the direction of Ayla's face, hoping it would hinder her sight and allow him a bit of an advantage while they wrestled on the ground. The tom felt only a tiny bit guilt for playing dirty, but knew that she would learn that that was how you did things in the Dusk Syndicate.

Without much warning, as she hadn't been watching his paws, Ayla let out a yelp as her vision was quickly blurred, shutting her eyes as soon as she realized what was coming. She slammed into Ferox but with not being able to see, her paws flailed in the air aimlessly, not really effective in landing a blow. The two tumbled together, Ayla still with her eyes closed and teeth barred. "You're gonna regret that," she growled, her voice low and quite venomous for a kit her age. She halted her attacks momentarily as she blinked the sand out, bracing herself for Ferox's continued attacks - she knew that if he was smart he would use this to his advantage.
After a second or two, Ayla regained a majority of her vision and opened her eyes. The whites of her eyes were red and irritated, but she barely felt any pain as the adrenaline surged through her tiny frame once more. Blood roared in her ears and she turned, glaring up at Ferox. With a yowl, she swept one paw upwards, claws unsheathed, aiming for his cheek. This time, she wasn't going to give him the chance to blind her; using one back leg, she kicked out and tried to throw him off balance. An energy surged within her that told her that she needed to win this. Maybe it wasn't a fight for her life, or even a fight to join the Syndicate, but already Ayla felt as though she had to prove herself to these cats - even Ferox, who she considered a friend already.

Re: Dusk Syndicate Clearing
Burn squared his shoulders and gulped silently. He had found the camp. He tried to calm his rapidly beating heart as he stepped out of the shadows and into the clearing. "I-I would like to speak with your leader about joining this group!" He said a little to loudly. he hoped they didn't notice the stammer in his voice or the fear scent coming off of him. I gotta be strong, just like mother said... But I'm only seven moons old! What am I doing?! He tried to keep his face calm and indifferent, and his fur flat. I hope i'm not making a mistake...

Ferox pummeled his opponent with heavy paws as much as he could while she was blind, but he was still on defense and couldn't do much. Her growl made the fur along his spine bristle with excitement, and maybe with a bit of fear. As she struggled, he managed to pin her down a bit, but didn't have a very good hold. However, his advantage only last a moment or two, and then her eyes were open once more. For a split second, time seemed to freeze as they glared at eachother. Ferox's blood seemed to go cold at the sheer amount of anger that radiated off of such a tiny person. He wanted to retreat, but it was too late to do so without being seen as weak. The tom kit blinked, and the fight continued as if that moment had never happened.
Unfortunately, the hold he had slipped a bit as Ayla turned and lashed out. The whiz of her claws through the air was his only warning to what came next, her paw moving faster than his eyes could track. Her right hook hit hard and fast, her tiny claws slashing through thick fur and then skin, just missing his left eye. Blood welled as the tom reared back a bit in shock, and as she kicked out at him, he was easily thrown off of her. The wind was knocked out of him at impact, and it was all he could do to scramble back onto his paws, tears in his eyes from the stinging of his cheek. He was actually out-matched by this newbie; he could almost hear the taunts he'd recieve from anyone witnessing this event after it was over... that it, if he didn't do something about losing at the moment. The tom caught his breath, and then growled, unsheathing his claws and blatantly ignoring his bleeding wound.

It's just that it didn't phase him. He was a strong cat and if he wanted to do this with his life, there was nothing that was going to stop him. He wanted to help cats, and he wanted to be the best at what he was doing because he knew he had the potential of just that. While his pride may turn into arrogance that can get him hurt one day, Icarius did have a true heart inside of him and did care for other cats well being, it suited him more than fighting ever would. He wouldn't admit it, but he was a pretty clumsy tom and would likely end up hurting himself before he ever ended up landing a hit on some other cat.
He hadn't missed what his half-sister was about to say, he simply chose not to respond to it. There was no reason to, he knew what she was going to say, but there was no reason to continue on with it. Maybe let her believe that he hadn't heard her, he didn't want her thinking that she had gone and hurt his feelings because for Icarius, it was hardly possible to do so. He had very thick skin and what seemed to be a hide made of duck feathers for every harsh word that was thrown at him, every scornful, hateful gaze, simply rolled off of him like water on a duck's back. Icarius may be a kit, but he is strong, stronger than many might think.
"Yes, yes it's very cool!" Agreed the long-furred young-tom before waiting to hear if she'd like to come along and look for herbs.
"Come on, let's go, I know the perfect place, trust me, there's always herbs there! I can teach you the smell, how they look and all that good stuff, come on!"
With excitement fully coursing through him, the young-tom went bounding for the camp entrance, his tail raised high, he stumbled a few times but managed not to fall, his head looking over his shoulder for his sister, looking to see if she was following.

@Duskflight
Iesha felt a bit guilty for thinking about it. The scorn that healer's got. It was wrong. But, she pushed it aside, or at least tried to. For her half-brother, for her step-mother. For all the healers out their. They were scorned, and not treated right, and Iesha wasn't going to be like that. Besides, her trainer was a former clan cat. She shouldn't be scornful, or treating others like garbage. Even if her mother thought healers were... bad. She wouldn't treat them like that. She would promise herself that. She scampered after her brother, eyes shining with exciting as she followed. New smells, new sights, new EVERYTHING. Iesha was extremely excited to see the territory. It would be her very first outing to the territory, and that was the most exciting part. Her first outing! Exciting. Yes. Iesha kept a smile on her face as she followed her brother through the entrance of the camp. Not very exciting as she originally thought. Oh well, the territory would be worth it. WAY more worth it. She could just... feel it! Her smile grew wider as she thought about it. It would be really pretty and exciting! And-- the ocean! Iesha heard about it from her mother, and had wanted to see it herself. It sounded very pretty looking.

But to be honest, he was used to the emptiness of memories. It didn't matter, nor did he care. He would make new memories. The old ones, were of a life, he had forgotten. And some of the memories returning weren't. Helping. It just irritated him further. He wanted to forget them, not regain them. Oh well, no need to worry about that nonsense. The tabby thought, and Heolstar continued to groom his fur, in smooth, graceful strokes. This calmed him down a bit. Maybe more. His ears twitched as he relaxed, pondering on what to do. Flirt? Maybe. Go out and stare at SkyClan and maybe pick a fight? Perhaps. Insult a hunter? Nah. He let out an annoyed sigh. Some of the options sounded boring, and some part of him would rather not attack SkyClan Cats. Why? Heolstar had no idea, nor did he want to find out all that much. Flirting sounded like a great idea. He was a flirty tom cat, so of course he would flirt with some she cats.

Avalanche cast her beautiful dark eyes around the clearing, spotting a tom who looked like he was doing nothing. The feline slink right over to him, all her movements graceful, her blizzard-white fur gleaming in the sunlight that sprinkled its rays on the clearing. "Hello there. What a beautiful day it is today, is it not?" She purred to him in a voice as smooth as silk and as sweet as honey. The tom she had spoken to did catch her interest, more than others. There were those specific toms she spoke to just because she was bored and they looked like they could spare their time for her, but once in a while, she would come across a tom that she felt was worth her while. This handsome tom looked like one of those cats. So, Avalanche knew that this would be fun. She could just tell from the gleam in his green eyes. Ava had a gleam in her brown ones as well. A gleam that said "I'm bad news, but I know you can't resist me." She was beautiful. She was perfect. And that is what Avalanche believed herself to be. If any cat told her otherwise, well... She would then make them think twice about insulting her amazingness like that.

@ Aleka @ Gusty (In case u forgot Gusty, my WC cat Woodpeckerflight will come into the DS to visit her family and Halite will try to do something about it ^.^)
An old but familiar scent drifted into Woodpeckerflight's nose as she neared the Dusk Syndicate camp. This probably isn't the best idea. But Patchy told me to come here, and I must listen to her. The white and red she-cat scampered forward and her paws touched the half dead grass of the Dusk Syndicate. Her pupils narrowed as she silently padded through the camp, desperately trying to pick up her parent's or her sibling's scents among the cluster of horrid smelling rogues. She decided that they'd probably be the ones to smell the WindClan scent and come out to her. Woodpeckerflight spotted a small area of stones and remembered when she played on them with Redclaw as a kit. She smiled and sat down by the rocks, flicking her tail with anticipation.

Moon had been sitting outside at the edge of the clearing, grooming her slick fur slowly. Her good eye was mostly closed, but her blind eye, like it usually was, wasn't really obeying what her other eye has doing, so it stayed wide open, the milky colored pupil easily visible. She huffed, letting her left paw slowly drop as she stopped grooming herself, since a familiar scent had reached her nose. Blinking once, she stood up. Is that really who I think it is? She wondered, not really believing her nose for a moment, thinking that somehow, her mind had tricked her.
She turned, surprise written clearly on her face as she saw that her senses weren't failing her- or perhaps she was going crazy. Either way, was surprised. The feline stepped timidly toward her daughter, her eye shining. "Woodpecker... is that you?" She asked in anguish, her ears at the halfway point between being pricked up and being flattened

"Moon?! I haven't seen you in forever!" the she-cat galloped over to her mother and rubbed against her fur. "I came because I wanted to see you, and Navy and Star and Mercury and Eclipse, and I want to see Singe without him throwing a hissy fit that I'm trespassing on his territory." Woodpeckerflight shrugged happily, trying to cover up the fact that it wasn't her idea to come. But if a StarClan cat thinks she should go, then it ought to be for the best.

Moon smiled happily, rubbing her forehead along her jaw, her tail raised behind her. "Neither have I of course." She said softly, her voice having a happy note clear in the middle of it. "I'm so glad that you've come to see us again!" She nuzzled her before asking, "Do you know where Red is by any chance?" She asked, her ears pricked. Maybe this was it, when the family would be pieced back together again. A part of her, the dark place in her mind knew that was probably wasn't going to happen, but still, a part of her could still hope if she wanted to.

Woodpeckerflight's pupils narrowed a bit, "I-I don't know exactly where he is. He goes by Redclaw now and I believe he's in ShadowClan. All I know is he uhh, he abandoned his mate and now I'm mothering two of his kits, Canarykit and Lightningkit. He has three other kits, one's in ThunderClan, and the other two are in RiverClan." Woodpeckerflight confessed, a look of relief upon her face.
