Silverclaw smiled brightly. Her kit! But then mom mode was on. She ushered over to Magpiekit and reach down to lick her clean. "I'm sorry Buckstar but I need to groom her." Silverclaw meowed.

Juniperfang was in the elder's den, frowning. It had been a while since... since Yarrowsong had been killed by the coyote. He hadn't spoken to anyone since. Maybe it was time to. The den was always crawling with kits, maybe he could tell one a story. He saw a she-kit. A big one, almost apprenticed. "Hey, you. Wanna 'ear a story?"

Iciclepaw couldn't take it. The look of confusion in the kit's eyes, the trauma the whole situation must have caused along with fear. She could relate sort of, as she also witnessed a major event at a clan meeting. Even so, this is a different situation. Placing one grey paw in front of the other, the apprentice padded up to Rosekit. "Hey- are you okay?"

Rosekit was in the elders den, looking for someone to talk to. It wasn't as stuffy as the nursery was, but it sure was smelly. Like mouse bile and soiled bedding. She was ready to leave when-
"Hey! Wanna 'ear a story?"
What kind of accent was that? She turned around, intrigued. An old black tom was there. His eyes were like, so amber they were almost red. "Uh... sure!" She said, padding over and sitting awkwardly on the side of the nest.

Stormpaw smiled, it would be nice to have some more apprentices. Of course, dens could get crowded, but who needed space when you have friends?

Magpiekit had been in the nursery, watching from inside. She froze when she heard her name. What was happening? The Molly saw Silverclaw and padded over to her slowly. "What's going on mama?", she meowed, shivering as if she were cold. She wasn't she was scared out of her mind. Too many cats were around. She looked up at Buckstar. Oh wow he looked scary. She pressed up against her adopted mother.

Rosekit blinked, head still swimming with thoughts. It took her a moment to register what the cat said, and even who the cat was. "Sorta." She said, looking up and fighting back a sob. "I.. I don't know why Hopepaw said that! I wouldn't ever want anything to happen to Sunhowl... or you because you're both like... *sniff* super cool. I don't want anyone to get hurt. And..." Should she confess this? "I... I saw wht Buckstar did to Frostpaw... will that happen to me or Hopepaw?" It was getting harder to hold back whimpers or sobs.

Silverclaw smiled. "It's your apprentice ceremony. You're becoming an apprentice! Oh, I'm so proud! Now, get over there and stand straight and proud!" Silverclaw meowed, pushing Magpiekit softly towards the front of the group gathered at the Thunderwillow.

"I got the perfect one for ya too." He said, grinning. "It's a long one, so relax." Shifting his weight so he was more comfortable, he prepared for the story.
