Ciara carefully led Jake up the stairs to their room and put him in the bed. She checked his bandage and kissed his forehead. "Rest, darling." She said, stepping toward the door.

Ciara looked back at Jake as he passed out. She left the room and sat down on the couch, her hand on her baby lump. "How am I going to protect you?" She thought out loud.

Ciara jumped as Sandy curled up next to her and spoke. "Yeah. I don't know what to do when I do have it. I know that the 'birthing part' is painful, but it's the aftermath I'm more scared about." Ciara patted Sandy's head, yawning.

" I will be here to help. As you can see and know I am an expecting mother as well. "
* She curled up and started to drift off. *
