No... Badger? But then why had Silversong called badger in an enclosed place like this one last time? Or was only in very specific enclosed places? Probably... Maybe... These voices were strange. That was Primrose's conclusion but at least they still sounded nice! Then again, almost everyone sounded nice and she didn't actually know what not nice was like. She liked how 'brave' sounded though, it sounded funny! Her ears perked at Blizzardsky's explanation. Whiskers? She'd never heard that word before, and yet something told her those were like thingies stiking out if her face that tickled the ground sometimes when she was searching for pretty things. Twitching her whiskers again and again, Primrosepaw found herself being rather amused by the feeling of it and giggled a little. She turned to where she asumed one of their voices last came from and twitched her whiskers again, pulling a questioning look as if to ask if those were the whiskers the two were speaking of.

Gentlefoot smiled at Primrosepaw. "You've got it," she encouraged. She nodded at Blizzardsky. "Good idea." Suddenly she picked up a familiar scent. "Do you guys smell that? I think there's prey over here," Gentlefoot said, following the prey-scent.

Blizzardsky gave a small nod,” Probably a rabbit, since it’s in the tunnels.” he quietly meows not wanting to scare off the prey, he figured he’d let Gentlefoot cat the first rabbit.

Gentlefoot nodded and tensed. She wasn't used to catching things that weren't fish, but she still remembered how. She crept toward the scent for a minute, then darted forward and grabbed it, killing it with a bite to the neck. "Got it," she reported to her clanmates.

"That sounds like a plan." Morningpaw agreed, looking down to both of their catches. It definitely would be worth it to catch some more prey, like Barkfuzz said. She returned to her perch by the river, waiting for more prey to come swimming her way.

As Barkfuzz returned to his place he heard a shrill wailing coming from the forest behind them. He turned, ears perked with curiosity.

As a piercing cry rang through the forest, Morningpaw's fur stood on end.
"What was that?" she asked. It hadn't sounded like anything she'd heard before. Slowly, she began creeping towards the area where the sound had come from, curiosity getting the better of her.

"Morningpaw no!" Barkfuzz whispered desperately as he bounded over to catch up. Taking the lead he lowered himself to a crouch and crept over the forest floor cautiously.

As the trees thinned a bit the two came up on a small clearing where they found what appeared to be an injured twoleg. It was smaller than the ones Barkfuzz was more accustomed to seeing. "It must be a kit," he murmured to Morningpaw. "Don't get too close."

Barkfuzz's call jolted Morningpaw out of her curious stupor, and she crouched down along with him.
She was pretty sure whatever was whining in front of them was a twoleg; she'd never seen one before, so she couldn't be sure, but it seemed to match every description of one she'd heard. And, if it was like Barkfuzz said, it was a kit! How many cats did she know that had ever seen a twoleg kit?
"Is it... okay?" she wondered aloud, keeping her voice down. "Do they usually make noises like that?"

"I've never heard anything make that kind of noise," Barkfuzz admitted. "But I think it's hurt..."The warrior glanced around and sniffed the air. "I can't tell if there's any grown twolegs around. I'm not really sure what we should do." Barkfuzz glanced at Morningpaw. "Any ideas?" he inquired.

Obviously it wasn't the best idea for a warrior to ask an inexperienced apprentice that sort of question, but Barkfuzz was ignorant to that fact. As far as he was concerned Morningpaw was just as wise as a senior warrior, she just needed to apply her intelligence.
