Dirtfur smiled and nodded to Wormpaw's question. "Next time, we're hunting." he added after the apprentice's thanks. Kinking his tail, he walked away to the camp. "Don't wait up, come on!"

''good, i've been practicing my pounce. i'm less clumsy now i believe, " wormpaw explained, looking ahead as he picked up his pace to stride by dirtfur. maybe he could spot some birds on their way back to camp. a bit off-topic but birds. nice-- very nice.

Sitting at the island . Sootpaw waited for his mentor fallenstorm with a excited look on his face. His pelt was groomed and he had a somewhat full stomach . He was eager to get this mock battle started .

Swimming to the island, Fallenstorm saw Sootpaw with an eager grin on his face as she stepped onto the island.
"Well, it seems I'm the late one today!" She meowed, chuckling. "We better get started, then!" She got closer to Sootpaw, and gave him the following instructions. "Alright, so we're going to learn offensive moves, first. Since this is a mock battle, keep your claws sheathed. First, we are going to learn how to strike our enemies! Now, when I say strike, I mean strike, and make sure to aim at the face, as that does the most damage."

Getting into his battle stance after fallenstorm spoke. With a look of determination he gave a quick nod "ready" he meowed .

"Good, because I won't hold back!" She yowled, running up and hitting him directly in the muzzle, then running around him in circles to confuse him.

Flinching at the muzzle attack . The toms eyes went every which way trying to get a clear focus on fallen. Darting to the left as soon as he found a opening, he ran off to give him some space before whirling back around. Grinning at her just before he raced forward and leaped into the air in hopes of tackling fallenstorm.

She moved to the side just as he was about to tackle her to the ground. "Gotta subvert expectations, Sootpaw! Gotta say though, you did a good job getting out of what I like to call 'the spinning confusion' so you did pretty good for your first time around!" She smiled a reassuring smile "Besides, no one gets it first try."

Petuniapaw had basically bounced the entire way to the training Island. It was unfamiliar land but she was so excited. This sounded excited. Though, her new mentor just said what she'd already learned didn't she? "Ms. Brambleblaze. I haven't learned anything yet. This is my second ever time outside of camp. Last time I only went to the ThunderClan border and back." The ginger and white molly explained looking up with her bright amber eyes. "But I'll work hard to learn! And then I can meet and train with uh... Shadowpaw!" Petuniapaw added determination in her pitchy voice.

"that's horrible..who was your first mentor? I'll be sure to chew them out." she meowed with a irritated tail twitch .that cat didn't even deserve an apprentice ! For crying out loud...
